I did both. I patched, saw this, and then uninstalled and reinstalled the full game. Same problem. I thought it might be associated with two things:

• I used the OOTP12 vera font in my game. That wasn't it, as the reinstall showed.
• I have over 30,000 messages in my game. But, you only have 4,313, I see, so I don't think that's it.

Besides, I had nearly the same amount of messages before I patched and I did not have this problem.

Interesting note, as I just edited my other post: I'm not seeing this problem with my manager mail window (thank goodness - that would be an issue for sure). I only see it on the news listing. Here's my manager message window and it looks fine:

Back to this issue for a moment. I uploaded my game file to the FTP OOTP Support site, in "saved games." Sorry about its size, but I figured you might want the entire file, messages and all.

By the way, please delete the partial file that I left in your "incoming" folder before I realized that I was uploading to the wrong location. I cannot delete it from my remote connection.

As long as I am on a roll here, I will also report this one. It's kind of odd that it's been going on so long; when you mention it on the forums, guys say "yeah, that's been happening forever." Has it never been reported here?

Not sure if this is happening with anyone else.

Started a fictional league, us, region set to texas (if it matters).

I've created feeder leagues, do not have "automatically import real historical rookies" checked. Database path is not entered. League started in 1950, simmed up to 1971.

Yet in my free agent pool, I have reggie jackson, bobby bonds, among others.

Clicking on the profile in editor, it shows the lahman ID for the player, and his real life stats tab is there, so for some reason, I'm getting historical players imported into my league.


*and a crash when trying to recreate the league to see if it happens again. Total number: 3*
Is this a bug, or have I missed a setting somewhere else now?

Likely chalk this one up to ID-10T. Rookie league appears to have had import historical rookies checked. I'll sim out a bit and make sure that was it.

Basically, the affected budget amounts do not tie to the contracts of the players in the trade.

I scaled back the setting from keeping ALL news logs (messages) to keeping them only from last 2 years. The news listing is now back to normal, as seen below.

Too many messages can cause this problem, I guess. It may or may not have been triggered by the latest patch.

I am happy, except for one thing. You know that News Involving Player feature in Player History? It's all gone now for players who retired prior to two years ago. That includes my Hall of Famers.

One more compromise that I must make with this great, but imperfect, game.

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but as you can see it has no 22nd overall pick listed, yet every other pick is listed, even in the 2nd round. Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

If you start the ONLINE LIVE SIM and let it go without adjusting, it appears to work great.

However:

- If you WATCH game or enter a game, the live sim stops airing for that day and does not continue if you leave game and resume

- My box scores and game log (set to broadcast) for the live sim do not work, they go to an error page when you click on them on the webpage

Please advise.

Seems only to be an issue with my saved game I was playing before the patch update. Started a test league (ML) and no issues with the messages.

Yep. I am having this problem as well. Seems like the latest patch has triggered this issue.

The workaround is unacceptable and this needs to be fixed. This issue did not appear for me until the latest patch and as a fictional gamer, I like to keep all league, player, and team news.
I really hope this gets patched ASAP.

Anyone else seeing an issue with coach extensions in the current patch (I'm on Mac)? During the season if I make an extension offer to one of my coaches, the offer appears in the pending offer list ... but nothing actually happens. I've made offers mid-season two seasons in a row and I get no response. I go back in and renew the offers to no avail. I see feedback on the pending offers page, but they don't get processed.

As a result, I cannot extend any coaches during the season and have to wait for their contracts to expire and hope they resign.

Anybody else seeing this?

No, this is not an isolated problem. I ran a MLB test league created with the latest patch installed. When I get to the 2019 season this issue pops again. So it happens not only with existing leagues but newly created ones as well. I have a feeling that when you get to over 3000 messages with your manager folder, this bug will affect the display of those messages as well.

Yeah, I've seen that same bug and I'm using a PC. I have to make an offer when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Is anyone having or noticing this problem? The WAR listed on the career leaderboards on the Season & Career Records Page is just VORP/10.

In the example below: I started a fictional league and ran it one year. I went to the Season & Career Records Page. All season & career records should be the same but the WAR numbers are different (circled). In fact, on the career side, the WAR number is just VORP/10. This sucks as I like to use the Career WAR leaders as one of my basis for Hall of Fame consideration.

I have noticed the same issue. I am not using a MAC so it definitely isn't system specific. My minor league coaches that I tried to re-sign all bailed on me. I'm afraid to let the mlb season finish because I do not want to lose my coaches. This is kinda a deal breaker for me right now.

In my fictional league, a player won the top fielder award at three different positions all in the same season, despite the fact he didn't appear in a single game at any of those positions. This player played just 53 games in the field at the major league level -- all of which were at shortstop -- but won the award for first base and right field in his own sub-league, and for left field in the other sub-league. The only position he is rated at is shortstop.

I'm using the latest patch, but the season was started using the previous patch. The player in question was drafted earlier in the year and had not played in a feeder league. He played for two minor league teams and one major league team during the year, and all games were within the same organization.
