This site credits him with 200+ fights(word of mouth), plus it claims he started at 14. This was the only fighter similarly named that came from Middlesbrough that I could find in boxrec. His opponents are a hodgepodge regarding weights, but he fought at least five bouts against featherweights.

Not 100% sure about this one. Photo listed as Jack Sharkey Jr. by antekprizering. The photo is from 1922, but this fighter's career didn't begin(supposedly) until 1935, but it is the only Jack Sharkey Jr. in boxrec. Possible that record is incomplete or photo is from before pro career began. There is no birth date either, which would have helped.
