Eventually, not in the first release.

You guys will have to download it tomorrow.

OOTP is making me want to jump off a cliff, as apparently re-assigning all of your players every day to a different level is a normal thing to do.

I'll iron it out tomorrow as I have nothing to do. Apologies but my blood pressure is through the roof right now because of this AI.

Wow, Cubby thanks for going to bat for us tonight. Whether you get it out or not tonight I appreciate the blood, sweat, and tears.

Quick question: Once the beta version is out, do you have any idea on the timeframe for the polished one? I'm not looking for a deadline with which to kill you with later here, just an educated guess.

I'm dying to get my serious league going and the major leagues are the biggest priority followed by AAA. Players at AA or lower have enough time in the minors left that the they'll change quite a bit anyway by the design of the game (talent boosts & cuts).

I'm only curious about a timeframe because I may just take your rough version and run with it. I like to start my leagues based on the MLB's opening day 2006 rosters but the second I play the first day it becomes a fictional league anyway.

No, I don't mind at all now that this is almost out. What I'm planning to do is go through level by level on the releases, I would expect AAA release (plus MLB obviously) within a week, and MLB through Single A within two to two and a half.

EDIT: Here's the plan for release tomorrow. The main issue is that the version I was going to use (with players on the correct levels, even though the computer will automanage them elsewhere because their ratings aren't correct yet in the minors) won't work.

So I'm stuck with the version with automanaged teams askew. The majors are almost completely right, except for a few stragglers here and there that snuck onto the ML roster because they were overrated at AAA.

Tomorrow, I'll assign all the MLB teams correctly from that file (and MLB alone, minors will still be out of whack) so you guys can test stats. That should honestly not take more than 30-45 minutes as there is just one or two players per team to send down or call up.

Then, I'll have to re-rate minor league players anyway, so I'll be going through division by division to assign guys to the right level. I.E. the AAA players will be assigned all correctly along with MLB, but AA, A, etc. will be off. In the next, AA will be assigned correctly. I figure that makes the most sense since in one day, the computer will auto-manage the teams all over unless I make the ratings right in the first place.

Sorry for the delay tonight guys, I'm as anxious to get it in your hands as you are, trust me.

Hey guys sorry, I know Cubby was waiting for me to get home last night to help with things, I got home but was never able to get on the cpu. I will be talking with him today and I guess from reading the posts this morning things should be available to be used at some point today.

That's a great plan CF. I really appreciate your hard work. I lived with two programmers in college (one of them married my sister ha ha) so I understand how many things can go askew working with computers.

Thank you for the update and time table. I've got a question, just pure curiosity. How long does it take to "make" a level in the minors? And does it go faster as you go down the list? I'm curious about the process.

Thanks for the updates on the rosters. If I start a league with the first release do the newer releases just update the ratings so the league can continue or would a new league have to be started with each release?

Hey, I have a simple request. I was just wondering if we could have a new thread when the rosters actually come out, since it would be so much easier than surfing through the many many posts in this one. Thanks.

This is correct and part of the reason that we didn't want to put out beta versions.
