Thanks for the ideas, but I've changed my mind and I am now sticking with my original Catalans for the Barcelona team, as I've decided to change the Madrid team to Conquistadores from Gatos.

As for the Kyiv one, I have no idea what Kvetchers is so I won't be going with that.

No, I've said it before, I'm useless at thinking of team names.
And I doubt a team would call itself Complainers somehow.

I could go for Knights, but it just doesn't seem right to me. Maybe I'll just go with that.

Im not sure thats i mportant though. Whats the connection between teams named Giants, Tigers, Lions, etc and their location. Shouldnt the name just sound cool as it rolls off your toungue?

Because EuroLeague isn't the XFL. I'd like the teams to have realistic nicknames.

Well, Kiev was in the center of many Slavic tribes, a center of Cossack activity, and overrun by the Mongols at one point. I figured the name was a decent catch-all for that sort of history, though Kiev Cossacks might serve better...

In this case I mean one sim year, I guess.

The original Kyiv team was called the Capitals, but that team moved to Athens.
This team was previously called the Cologne Jesters.

I guess I could do a "Cleveland Browns" move and call this team the Capitals, and look for a new team name for the Athens one.

Kyiv also has a Viking history so Raiders is a fairly good choice.

Are you going for all proper spellings? Maybe Cologne should be Koln with the umlauts.
