Doesn't import directly yet it doesn't seem -- I've had a few other people tell me that it doesn't work and gives them odd results as well.

This set wasn't designed for OOTPX -- the OOTPX set is going to be somewhat different and I think a bit more compatible with OOTPX.

I believe eventually it won't be a problem either way and the kinks will get worked out but right now importing in the beta screws some AI in this set up so you can't use it in OOTPX.

After doing a bit of investigating on how the totals and modifiers actually work,I found of course that I was going about it all wrong! Now,after some more testing,I've come up with an even better set than the one before, here they are:

NOTE,Make sure the player creation modifier ONLY is checked,it can be found right above the modifiers!

AB-166,335
Hits-43,991-modifier-1.00
2B-8863-modifier-1.016
3B-888-modifier1.013
HR-5160-modifier-.947
BB-15207-modifier-1.075
HBP-1802-modifier-.932
Strikeouts-30644-modifier-1.073
SBA Modifier(next section)-.741
SB Success %(next section)-1.075

The league totals are actually all default,so all you will have to change is the modifiers. These are also good for long term simming as well, the league totals will pretty much stay static for as long as you want to play. Thanks and I hope you like them!

Just for SH#@S and giggles,I've created a set of modifiers based on baseball from the early 90's,prior to the "big bang" as far as home run totals go.If you choose to use these modifiers, expect on average the MLB HR leader to be in the mid to low 40's.League ERA's wil be high 3's low 4's and the league average will be about .260 or so.I've done this because IMHO,MLB will slowly but surly head back to these types of totals now that the "problem" is being dealt with.Obviously the chance exists for a great once in a lifetime slugger to break to mark of 61 set by Roger Maris which to me is the real single season HR mark.

AB-166335
Hits-43991-.961
2B-
8863-.850
3B-
888-1.130
HR-
5160-.726
BB-
15207-1.05
HBP-
1802-.586
K-
30644-.902
SBA(lower section)-1.067

Player Development(Ronco)

Batter Aging-1.750
Batter Development-.600
Pitcher Aging-1.750
Pitcher Development-.700

*Important*
Make sure that on the League Setup>Strategy>Historical Modifiers And totals Options section that the first box is Unchecked and that the second box is Checked.PM me with any questions

Using the actual 25-man rosters of all MLB teams on Opening Day, here are my projections based on 10 sims of the 2009 season using OOTP 09 and CubbyFan rosters.

But, first, the headlines. The Yankees project to be the best team in baseball and Atlanta is a strong second and clearly the best in the NL. The Dodgers are very strong. Surprising to me are the Brewers, Mariners, Marlins and Giants. Reds may finally play .500 for first time in nine years; their pitching won't be that good, but offense surprisingly will make up for loss of Adam Dunn. The Reds even reached the post season in 1 of 10 sims.

Likely division winners and wild cards in the AL are Yankees, Indians and A's with a battle for the wildcard involving Red Sox, Rays and Blue Jays.

In the NL, the division winners and wild cards are Braves, Dodgers, Brewers with huge wild card battles among Cubs, Giants, D'backs, Mets, Marlins, Phillies.

I would project a Yankees/Braves World Series with the Yankees winning. But the Dodgers would be my third candidate for a possible World Series appearance.

AL East
1. Yankees, 95.9 wins, 9 post-season appearances, 6 World Series appearances, 3 WS championships.
2. Red Sox, 88.1 wins, 5 post, 1 WS, 0 champ.
3. Rays, 86.9 wins, 4 post, 0 WS.
4. Blue Jays, 81.375, 0 post.
5. Orioles, 70 wins, 0 post.

AL Central
1. Indians, 88.8, 8 post, 0 WS, 0 champ.
2. Royals, 75, 0,0,0.
3. Twins, 74.7, 2, 0, 0.
4. White Sox, 73.6, 0,0,0.
5. Tigers, 73.5, 0,0,0.

AL West
1. Athletics, 82.9, 7 post, 2 WS, 0 champ.
2. Mariners, 77.7, 1,0,0.
3. Angels, 75.4, 1, 1, 1.
4. Rangers, 75.3, 0,0,0.

NL East
1. Braves, 92.5, 7,0,0.
2. Mets, 86.8, 4, 4, 0.
3. Phillies, 83.4, 2,0,0.
4. Marlins, 83.2, 1,0,0.
5. Nationals, 73.6, 0,0,0.

NL Central
1. Brewers, 87, 5,0,0.
2. Cubs, 85.7, 4, 1, 1 (yes, that's a World Series championship in 1 of 10 sims).
3. Cards, 81, 3, 1, 0.
4. Reds, 80.4, 1,0,0.
5. Astros, 77.7, 0,0,0.
6. Pirates, 75.9, 1,0,0.

NL West
1. Dodgers, 90.5, 7,2,2.
2. Giants, 86.875, 3,0,0.
3. Diamondbacks, 83.8, 2, 1, 1.
4. Padres, 77.67, 2,1,1 (almost inconceivable 1 in 10 WS championship).
5. Rockies, 75.67, 0,0,0.

Individual players:
-- Nick Adenhart. The saddest news is that he won the Cy Young in one of the 10 sims, and won 18-21 games in all 10 sims. Projections were run since he was on the Opening Day roster, despite his tragic death days later.
-- Ryan Howard. He wins MVP and HR title several times.
-- Joey Votto, Jay Bruce and Edwin Encarnacion. Any one of these three should bat cleanup for the Reds, not Brandon Phillips, with a toss-up between all three of them (not Phillips) reaching the 40 HRs that Dunn reached in each of his past three seasons. In one sim, Votto beat Ryan Howard for the HR title with 54 HRs in homer-friendly Great American Ball Park.
-- Adam Dunn. Hits as many as 52 HR for the Nationals, but their pitching is so poor that it won't matter.

I love this kind of stuff, while I was trying to get the modifiers right,I ran around 10 or so sims of 20+ years,it was really cool checking out who made the hall, who flamed out, what Minor leaguers became stars,if I get a chance,I may run another long term sim and post some results. Thanks Rasnell for taking the time,I enjoyed it.

It'd take awhile to go through 47 pages, but how do I use these rosters to do my own fantasy draft league? Is that even possible?

Heck, how would I even start a brand new league using the rosters? Everytime I even try to "Load Game" with this league, it crashes.

Okay Trades are happening between Cubbyfans Teams but not between Cubbyfans and Cooperstown the 2 Leagues I have in mine.
The Phillies lost Hamel's and Utley in mine to Career ending Injures. Lots of Teams have Pitchers in the Minors that shouldn't be but the Teams have signed Retired or other Pitchers better then them.

World of Baseball 10 BETA

I'm not looking to steal the thunder from CubbyFan...however, I have just launched the beta version of a project I've been working on. This project is built off of Cubby's Version 4.0 MLB rosters...but includes ***, KBO, CPBL, and ALL of the independent league rosters. Here is more information.

Lastly, I believe Cubby's version 4.0 is by far his best, and most stable...I could atleast uncheck the Rule V draft tab.

Have to disagree, v5 is MUCH more stable than 4.

That being said, heard there's a problem with the schedules for a minor league so I'll check it out.

Is there an answer for this problem? I'm starting a new league using this roster set, and I'd really like to have the Rule 5 draft available.

hey Cubby,I was wondering if you think if it would be Ok to use a 20-80 rating system rather then the 1-100 that was the default for the set.I ask because, when I first started using the set,I changed it to 1-20,this caused the AI to do all sorts of crazy things, like benching Carlos Delgado.Once I went to 20-80(what R/L scouts actually use) things got much better
