Blue Peter is a long running childrens TV programme that shows kids how to make stuff and every year they'd go on journey to places like Africa and such so kids could learn about other countires.

I realise you two want to talk about Most Haunted, but even if I'm talking to myself - back to the footie, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some games off today, it is pouring down again in Cheltenham (or should that be Tex-ville?

Been up 2 hours and it's not stopped raing yet was going to the Daisy Hill game but doubt it will be on, 2 games are in Atherton so if one of those get's called of the other is likely to do as well, I'll give it till about 12-1pm and phone around see which is on.

Good morning all. Can’t beat that first day of the season feeling

Pre-season and World Cups are all well and good but it doesn’t come close to the real action. It is a real trip into the unknown for us this year, with anything possible from winning our league right down to relegation. The intriguing combination if a large budget meshed with a total rookie manager (only ever run an under-12s team) in such a tight division makes it very hard to know what to expect.

Couldn’t have asked for a tougher start; we are away to Chelmsford, the new home for Jeff King and half the Canvey squad. On the bright side we are getting a crack at the favourites before they’ve had time to get match sharp and build team unity.

Three hours till the coach leaves and the nerves are already building up

I’d expect most clubs will be alright today. If you’ve got to have really heavy rain the current conditions are the near ideal. The long dry spell has left us with plenty of scope for absorption, while the rain over recent days has softened the top layer enough that the water won’t just sit on the surface.

Anyway, not to rub it in or anything but here in the garden of England I’m sitting in glorious sunshine... no doubt it’ll be pissing down when I’m on the terraces this afternoon

Zambia and Botswana play today that probably wont suffer because of rain but think I left it a bit too late to travel, I could go to Leigh again but do I risk throwing away £10 to watch rubish again.

For some reason it never rains in the summer in SoCal. And we never have lightening.
