17-10 in August, 87-41 overall AL East leader.


We started out really slow in August and had a nice 7 game winning streak and ended fairly strong. September's schedule is tough. We finish up vs BC, then 2 @ COR, 4 @ ATS and 3 @ GC., then 4 vs PON before an off day. That 13 game stretch will be tough on my pitching staff and I am unsure when anyone from Middleton will join us.then we see MET for 3, @ MAD for 3 then we host WB for 3 and end the month with another 4 games vs ATS. So we have 2 13 game stretches without an off day.


RP Ricardo Ortiz was innured during his rehab at AAA. When he is healthy, he will come to us but will be on a strict 15 pitch count. We may not get Walter Johnson back until we start the ALDS. i hope to get him back during our final 6 games in October though.Medina could be back as early as the last week of September but he too will be on a strict pitch count, probably 25 pitches.


Overall i am happy with my pitching staff right now. Christy is back to lead the staff and Lurte, Stupec & Ramos have all stepped up. The back end of my pen has been great in Its current setup.

[The Game]

Field has been much better since his return. Before he went down, i could not let him face a RHB, including a SHB. Now he has been really good vs both. Still can;t leave him in long in a high leverage situation but he's improved greatly.
Kurota has been lights out as the CL.


Overall of offense i have 0 major complaints. We have 3 MVP candidates in Young, Kat & Humbert. Anna has a great shot at getting 100 SB for the 3rd consecutive season. Tugger has surpassed all of my expectations of him. Rebecca, while not a .290 hitter like i had hoped, has proven that she can be an everyday starter next year. Brett & Tigger have settled into their roles as the veteran leaders for the next generation of Tigers. Kai has done a great job on offense since coming here. Gerald, Todd & Mercedes all step up their game when called upon. Todd is hitting .317 vs RHP.


Now a few complaints
1. Tigger has yet to hit a HR since coming off of the DL in July.
2. Brett, while still elite in CF has little power and has struggling driving in Runs.
3. Humbert despite hitting 10 HR (along with Young) to lead the Tigers in August, struggled more at the plate than in previous months.
4. Anna has had trouble putting a good stretch of games together.


Kool Kat led the team in WAR but none of his stats are that great.
The entire offense struggled in August.


Only pitchers that struggled in August were Lurte & Club. Lurte needs around 19 IP for his vesting 2036 option to kick in.
Kurota, Antiga & Evans were fantastic.

Brett still doesn't have an E in CF. Doubtful he will win the GG though. We probably don't have any GG winners this year, although we are a good overall defensive team.


Rebecca has done well in throwing runners outs. she around 3rd in the AL.


Middleton clinched their division and their playoffs start on Tuesday. No one will come up until after their season is over but here is who will come up.

We have a quick 2 game set @ Corvair. the 'Vettes have a good but not great team and they have 2 key injuries to C Bob Samej & CL Eddie Hawks. They made a few roster moves in July that helped them. Cf DeVos Naumann is a beast and 3b Lisa Jorgenson is a good leadoff hitter. Their rotation isn't great but their pen is the best in the NL. if they make the playoffs, their offense can dominant a short series.
