Betting Update:

Germany's odds for the World Cup drop from 17/2 before the game to 6/1 at half time. Sweden are currently 500/1 to win the World Cup. Germany now have the 1st and 5th favourites for the Golden Boot (Klose 5/2, Podolski 10/1). Argentina, Germany's likely QF opponents, have drifted slightly from 9/2to 5/1 for the tournament after the first half. If Germany win 3-0, I've won £13.77. If they don't, I've won £9.50.

As I said I think Podolski could have a good chance, and yes maybe I'm biased, but if Germany go a long way he could be the key to that progress.

The last time that a 3-2 happened in a knockout round game was when Brazil beat Denmark in the quarterfinal at France 98, FYI.
