Andrew Brown will be a tough one, but I'll keep searching. He was one of the best kept secrets in New Orleans, very talented, but for some reason inactivity and a shortened career kept him out of the big time. But look at his resume. Very impressive.

I'd like to take a second to thank Jofre and Lee Skye and crusadecat and the Cube and all the rest for finding and contributing the dozens of terrific boxer pics in this thread. They really add a whole lot to the enjoyment of a great sim, and reinforce the whole notion of community. Thanks to a great bunch of communists.

What are some great sites that I should be looking at to find more pictures? Jofre has been great finding pictures of NE fighters from the 50's, 60's and 70's. I'd love to contribute but have no idea how to start.

Thanks Cap and Da! power to the Bolshiveks. Austin. What i do is check Ebay and Google individual boxers to see if by chance any hits with a photo comes up. I check all the ones here that most of us do such as Antiquities of the prize ring, sports photos.com Sometimes you can find photos in a library collection we found a bunch through Chicago's library. Library of Congress. Whats the Canadian equivalent? perhaps they may have a similar deal. The best thing would be if you had a scanner and could get a hold of old Ring magazines or if we were real lucky old police Gazzettes. Hopefully this can be helpful to you Austin and I thank everyone also who is part of this great board. The websites and cornerwork and imagination that people show spurs me on.

As I do some research on fighters in my 1940's dynasty I occassionally come across a photo or two so I will add them here. Not sure if this guy is worth adding though since his career record was just 6-6 but there is a good article on his career here:
