You don't get help on the Graphics Forum because you don't make simple requests.

karadur recently asked for a lot of teams... logos, jerseys and caps... but he kept it very simple... he just listed the team names and said just do them any way you want... he didn't post any colors or special requests... and he got them done.

In your view, what should I look for in terms of center fielders, as far as skills and all? I've been playing several players out of position periodically, including in center field, for at least one team, but either acquiring or developing them is rather hard, at least for the most part, at the present time. And I've not generally been able to get good ones in the draft so far, for at least one team, mainly the Archers.

I posted screenshots related to the Archers before in this thread. Did you see them, by any chance?

Marion has been able to get fairly good, considering the current timeframe in the relevant dynasty, playing positions other than shortstop. I've also had Herr and others getting experience at other positions, as well. Bottomley has played a bit in the outfield, but he's still not got ratings for those positions, unfortunately. Walker I've played some at third and in center, but no ratings yet for him, either, at those two positions, I believe.

Bottomley's batting average isn't as good on average as it was in reality, unfortunately, and I've not been able to get him and/or others enough protection, it seems, in the lineups for a while. Phelps is okay, but he's upset because he's not evidently playing enough to suit him sufficiently, even though he's in his middle 30's now, if memory serves.

Just some information you may want to think about while you try to figure out how I can perhaps improve certain teams of mine, like the Archers, for example, in the relevant dynasty, that's all. Thank you for your time and attention and all, as always. CD out.

Here is your graphics request on the Graphics Forum... too many words and too many instructions... no one is going to read your requests if you make them this complicated.
Do you understand... no one is going to help you unless you just make simple requests... just list the team names you want and let them do them the way they want to do them... that is what karadur did and he got them done.

Also you want your teams named "unusual" nicknames... Ravenous Word-Eaters, Stylish Bards, Story Seekers, Saga Makers, Trekking Scouts, Eternal Lore-Keepers.
Nobody will do nicknames like these... they are too strange and unusual.



A major logos-only related request

In this post and its related thread, I will only request logos, for a single overall league idea of mine, most likely. I will do the caps and uniforms myself, to the best of my ability, but as for logos, I may need at least some help with this idea of mine. Since this is going to be a major request, I will not be requesting graphics help with any other project idea for quite some time, I promise. Besides, I will likely be spending a good deal of time working on my latest story, for I have a personal deadline in mind to try and complete as much of its first draft as possible, as soon as possible.

I have four jerseys for the teams already planned to be part of this league idea of mine, and I will note which teams I have uniforms for as I list the relevant teams here.

These teams will all be part of a league called the Tea and Coffee Union, with the related subleagues being called the Tea Division and the Coffee Division, for your information, folks.

The Tea Division will have the following teams in it:

Birmingham Wacky Robots (No uniforms or caps yet, but I will see what I can do for them myself here, in the near future, whenever I can spare enough time to do so later on) [Blue, gold, black preferred colors, something with a industrial/technological feel, perhaps with robotic heads?]

Miami Cosmic Turtles (See Birmingham note about caps and uniforms, colors and looks optional, but would prefer a lot of color with perhaps something turtle-related that looks at least a little bit futuristic, especially if the turtle is flying, or the turtles are flying, somehow)

New York Stylish Bards (Think something along the lines of poets and/or playwrights, circa Victorian era or a little later? Have two uniforms, and will make at least one cap, if not two) [Gold, red, yellow preferred colors, but if you want to add a little bit of purple, for instance, feel free to do so, of course. Looks otherwise entirely optional]

Philadelphia Chroniclers (Think something along the lines of Colonial-era looks or a little later, more or less, perhaps. Have two uniforms, will make a least one cap, if not two) [Red, blue, gold, white preferred colors. Looks otherwise optional]

Washington Story-Seekers (Think something along the lines of old newspaper reporters, perhaps, with traditional American colors preferred. Looks otherwise optional)

The Coffee Division will have the following teams in it:

Amarillo Ravenous Word-Eaters (Something along the lines of words being eaten in sandwiches perhaps by walking brains or something might work here, maybe. Colors, looks, and fonts otherwise optional. Surprise me, if you like and can, folks)

Denver Saga-Makers (Western font preferred, perhaps with mountains and a mountain man and/or a pioneer-type look or blend or something? Colors and looks otherwise optional)

Lincoln Jumping Jubilee Men (Think mostly formal, but not too much like the Stylish Bards. Perhaps something along the lines of marriage and/or religious holiday-type wear? Blue and white, at least, preferred colors with a possible optional third color included as well?)

Salt Lake City Eternal Lore-Keepers (Think something along the lines of a genealogist and/or a theologian, with an older look preferred, and colors and fonts, et cetera, otherwise optional)

San Francisco Trekking Scouts (Think Star Trek plus Boy Scouts of America and/or the Lewis and Clark Expedition, but without any spaceships and/or aliens, with optional colors and perhaps space-age-type fonts)

As for the Tea and Coffee Union and related subleague logos, colors and looks and font styles will totally be up to you, of course. I would prefer non-circular and/or non-square logos, for all logos, but that is not an absolute requirement here, in any case. The primary logos should be 300 by 300 pixels in size, while the secondary or other logos should be 150 by 150 pixels in size, if possible.

I also would prefer no dates be present on them, at least for now, please. That's so I can use them in various dynasties without them being restricted to certain time periods, you see, at least at first.

I anticipate that it will take me at least another month or two to complete at least the next third of my story, so I will probably be spending much of my available time working on it, as a result. I will check on this thread periodically, of course, but I don't think I'll be playing a lot of OOTP until I get at least two or three more chapters written up, if not more than that.

I have two uniforms for the Stylish Bards and two uniforms for the Chroniclers based on screenshots I took in that now-closed virtual world, but I do not yet have uniforms for the other teams.

The Chroniclers' and Stylish Bards' uniforms were made earlier, by others, before I started making them here, if memory serves. And, of course, I thanked those who made those uniforms for me based on the provided pictures I took elsewhere.

I can certainly try to make the uniforms and caps for the remaining teams, but I still haven't figured out the logo-type bit, unfortunately, for any of my teams or leagues. I don't even know what colors might be best for the overall league and subleague logos just yet, either, come to think of it.

I also haven't been able to import certain players into the proper league's draft pool for one of my dynasties, for some reason, even though I've been able to do so with other players in other leagues for at least one other dynasty of mine. No one is interested in doing your "unusual" nicknames... you posted the request a week ago and have not gotten any response at all.

If you cannot make logos yourself, you will have to use logos that have already been created... it's that simple.

If I were you I would just list the team you need... and I would pick standard nicknames like Lions, Tigers, Eagles, Yankees, Oaks, Red Sox, Grays, Greenies, Blue Sox, Orioles, etc.... and forget nicknames like Stylish Bards, Word-Eaters, Lore-Keepers.

Guess I'll have to try and simplify things in the relevant thread as much as possible. Maybe their official name could be longer, of course, but maybe certain words could be omitted for the logos, at times?

Even if you shorten the team nickname, they are still unusual... no one will do strange nicknames like you want.

Well, you do have to admit that some of the recent nicknames used for several minor league and/or independent teams have probably really been out there, in terms of their natures, right? You yourself, for one, said that the Baby Cakes name for a team in New Orleans was crazy or something, so to speak, I believe. Didn't you?

While mine may not necessarily be as far out there as certain such teams' nicknames have been or are or are likely to be in the future, for sure, I do admit that several of the ones I may use, at least, if not more than just several, of them may be not quite as good as they could have been, and all. But that doesn't necessary mean they might always be that way at times, does it?

Some new uniforms for the Miami Cosmic Turtles. Will probably have to work on them more, or produce more potential uniforms for them, later, of course, but these ones are what I have created for them so far, at least. Hope you like them, but if you don't, then so be it, Eugene. CD out.

Postscript: The font on the home uniform is Xolonium, while the font on the road/away is Quasar. Just letting you know so that if you don't have those fonts, and like the looks of them, you might know what fonts to look for in the future, so you can then perhaps use them when you do more graphics yourself, Eugene. Going by the response on your previous threads and posts, I would say it's not likely anyone but Jerrod247 will help you... your requests are unusual and unique, not what most people ask for.
People don't read your threads... karadur got almost 1800 views in a month... your thread only got 250 views in a little more than a month.... I think ifs because he made simple requests and you make long, verbose and wordy requests with too many specific requests... I've been on the Graphics Forum for almost 18 years... the best way to graphics done is with simple requests and let the designer create it the way he wants.

Do you want me to edit your requests and simplify it?

I would just list the team names and team nicknames and tell them to do them anyway they would like... you might get some response that way... giving them a lot of details and colors will make it hard for you to get them done... it has not worked for you in the past... and I don't think it will work now.

If you are willing to accept a simpler and less complex request, then you could copy and post it your current thread on the Graphics Forum... you would need to remove the original request and replace it with a shorter, simpler and less complicated request.

See post 902 in this thread... can't you see how simple karadur's request is compared to your complicated, long and detailed request in thread 904?
His simple request was done in a month by quite a few different graphic designers... that was 19 teams, logos, caps and jerseys.
All you want is team logos, which much easier to do... and no one has responded to help you but Jerrod247... I hope he does them all for you, but I don't think he will.

Before I edit you request, I want to know if you will be happy with whatever the graphics designers do for you? Or do only want your graphics the way you have them pictured in your mind.
So far, you have not gotten much work done for you... don't you think it is time to change your ways.

Yes, I think I would be, especially if what's provided might be close enough to what I might be hoping for in relation to certain teams. Their looks may not be exactly what I might have in mind, or at least not now, but if they're close enough, in relation to certain teams, I think I could live with certain looks for a decent enough period of time, somehow. If not permanently, that is.

Where certain colors are mentioned, I'd probably prefer those to be used if possible and all. Same thing with font styles, et cetera. If they can't be, to make the final produced items look better, then so be it. If they can, though, that would be excellent, I think.

I'm trying to be less picky and all, too, for your information, and trying to do more things myself lately. Still can't figure out this logo-related stuff easily enough, unfortunately.

So how would you suggest the relevant post be edited, now that I have certain league and subleague-related logos provided by jerrod247, then? Would like to see what you think, Eugene. Please advise. Thank you. CD out.

Need Team Logos Only... Do them the way you want to do them... your choice of colors... jerseys have been made for four of the teams... please use those colors for the logos, too.
Just try to come close to the jersey colors... see the jersey screenshots.
For the other six logos, please vary the colors... don't use the colors that already have been used.
Suggested Colors: (Black and Gold), (Purple and Gold), (Crimson and Tan), (Orange and Black), (Light Blue and Navy Blue), (Teal Green, Light Blue and White).

I shortened some of the team nicknames so they can fit on a logo.
