Here in the towns we don't have an accent. You have to travel into the countryside to hear it commonplace. |

Why not have the World Club Championship right after the UEFA Champions League, as an example, and format it exactly like the World Cup using the same exact formula, and hold it on an odd year (2007, 2009, 2011, etc.)?
I'd also suggest that all leagues have a holiday break starting two weeks before Christmas and ending sometime after January 1st but I know this have been suggested many times in the past.

You would have to have a massive restructure of football everywhere, don't forget 2 summers out of four are taken up with the World Cup and European Championships then your going to throw another tournament in so that would mean players just getting one summer of every four years. They already play to much football you'd end up driving them into the ground, performances would suffer which would in turn drive fans away because of the lack of entertainment. Correction if it was every other year then players would never get a rest. Last edited by ukhotstove; 12-17-2006 at 09:17 AM. |

They've talked about it in England but then you'd take away the big Boxing Day game which would be like the NFL stopping the Thanksgiving Day games, also the Boxing Day game is like an unofficial thank you to the fans, lot of fans go in fancy dress and that.

See Tevez as done the usual gutless thing and waited for the manager to go before opening his mouth, I specially love the part were he says "I had to sacrifice myself for the team, which I don't think helped". Maybe if he had pulled his finger out more for the team West Ham wouldn't be at the bottom of the prem, and by slaggin off Pardew he's going to have the fans against him seeing the fans respected Pardew and didn't want to see him go.

http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/sports/baseball/16261057.htm I tried to play with a straight bat in the letter, but if there is a next time I'll make sure I put Tex a couple of times at least instead. ![]() Another awesome side to Tex is his community work (I'm sure I mentioned that in my letter), and he and some of the other Ranger's went to a local hospital for Christmas. That's a much more important thing than my letter. If you want to read it, including Kameron Loe talking about his snake , here is the article: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/a...=.jsp&c_id=mlbRight, after that, I better get back on topic.

I have him in my FM2006 game and he's a regular in the striking rotation, very dangerous on the break and in the air (17 pace, 19 jumping). A great sub to change the complexion of a game also, as well as playing the lone striker role or the right wing forward if the system calls for it. It looked like his physical stats, along with the rest, were toned down in the 2007 demo, so maybe he's not as powerful a force in the new game, but he's a favorite of mine with 9 goals in 6 starts this season, and is listed as a favoured personnel on at least half my squad's profile from a 4-goal scorcher in the previous season. |

But his finishing 15, Heading 14 and Pace 13 in season 2And in FM 2007 Metzelder has 19/20 injury proneness. ![]() Another Paraguayan striker, Edwin Avalos, ban be had for two or three million dollars and he is very highly rated and scores goals. The attention to actics has been realy improved in the new edition, it seems. The AI tries much harder to exploit your weaknesses.

My take on the top leagues so far.
England - Premier League is a two horse race between Man Utd & Chelsea although Man Utd are in front by 2 pts I'd give Chelsea the edge with their squad depth. Italy - Serie A is pretty much cut and dried, can't see anyone catching Inter who are 7 pts in front of their nearest rivals Roma. Spain - Primera Division is down to three teams with Sevilla top at the moment in front of Barcelona by 1 pt but Barca have a game in hand while Real sit just 2 pts behind Sevilla. Will the World Club Cup cost Barca the title, they'll probably end up playing more games in the season than their title rivals and they lost Zambrota for a month. I'm going with Real as they haven't won a trophy for a bit so they have more to win and should be up for it more than the other two. Germany - Bundesliga is between probably 4 teams with at the moment Werder top on goal difference above Schalke 04, both these teams are 3 pts in front of Bayern and 4 pts in front of Stuttgart. I think Werder will take it as their scoring way more goals than the rest and just about conceding the same as the others. Scotland - Premier League is done and dusted, unless the world ends in the next few weeks then Celtic will be crowned champions as they are 14 pts in front. France - Ligue 1 is the same as the Scottish title unless there's a miracle then Lyon will win it as their 17 pts in front of Lens. Holland - Eredivisie is another league that is pretty much over with, PSV find themselves 7 pts in front of AZ and having watched the Dutch football the past week or so AZ to me aren't capable of catching PSV nor are Ajax who are 8 pts behind PSV. |

I was going to do an Alternative Awards of the Year thing, but then I realised I would be bound to miss something, so it wasn't worth it.
Things like "Overhyped Player of the Year" and "Blooper of the Year". |
