The baseball fans of Islandia are definitely pulling for Chicopee in this year's Pro Cup. They are certainly a Cinderella team. The Braves (90-72) knocked out two Pro Cup favorites in this year's Tycobbian Union bracket - The South Fork Stallions were the current Pro Cup champions and finished with the best record in IPA history at 123-39. Then in the Tycobbian Union Championship Series, after falling behind 2-0 in the series to another Pro Cup favorite, the Cape Coral Hurricanes (108-54), Chicopee stormed back to win 4 straight, including a no-hitter by Mark Ball in Game 5. The Braves' 3rd and final test will be the Ancona Jumbos (109-53), a 3rd Pro Cup favorite and 1877 Pro Cup winner. Will the slippers continue to fit, and can they bring home a first title to the city of Chicopee? We'll find out soon enough.

Pro Cup XI - Game 6
Pro Cup is tied at 3
The road team has won all 6 games of Pro Cup XI. What's at stake in Game 7? Chicopee will attempt to pull off the 3rd huge upset of the playoffs and win their first Pro Cup, and Ancona is looking to capture its 2nd title. |

Pro Cup XI - Game 7
Chicopee wins Pro Cup 4-3
Chicopee has done the unthinkable. Finishing the regular season at 90-72, the Braves were overwhelming underdogs. They had the fewest wins of all the playoff teams. But they defeated the top 3 seeds to shock the country of Islandia and secured the 1st Pro Cup title in franchise history. This is the first Pro Cup where the road team was victorious in every game. |
