Putting it in the Stats folder is the easiest way. The game will then automagically use it.

Thank you.
Being somewhat computer illiterate, but getting better because of OOTP I really like semi automagical!

So can this be done in the same game? There was mention elsewhere that the players do not duplicate. What am I missing here? Can anybody explain the correct setup?

Put the unsquished Spritze db in the Stats folder overwriting the inherent file. The game will then automagically use it.

I think the yard squid and the top statement is what has me overthinking the whole thing. It sounds like something I would like to do, but I am not sure how it is done. I am reading it as two separate db's are working in one game together. Different paths from different leagues to different databases creating one big happy baseball history scenario?
Sorry to be such a pesky dunce.

OOTP17 uses 2 databases at the same time by default if you are playing with the real minor leagues on. Major league and minor league ones.
You are merely replacing the major league one with mine.
Yard squid are very dangerous and extremely wild animals. Never turn your back. Tentacles are FAST!

OH! Now I am getting it. Duh. Is there a way of getting the minor league guys without the "official" minor leagues? Either as historic property or free agents? Many apologies if I asked this elsewhere. The squid made me do it.

The closest you could get would be to just use my database by simply not choosing real minor leagues in setup. The real minor leagues have about 150,000 more players and a million or so stat lines I do not have.

Thank you for your great work and patience. Not sure why I had such a mental block in my block head.

Watching your own back so you don't get ambushed by a killer squid will do that to your mental acuity. They have the best camouflage in the animal kingdom.

So I've been scouring the forums and posting all sorts of stuff trying to figure out how to play a game with fictional teams, but real players using the OOTP minor league database, and it seems to be impossible to do it the way I want to, so I figured I should just use your database!

A couple of questions, because I haven't used it in awhile. Is there a way to quickly identify Negro Leaguers and international players up to a certain year and delete them from the database or change their debut year?

Do you suggest any changes to player development/aging settings?

Anything else I should know? Basically I just want a fictional game world (finances, stats, teams, leagues, etc.), but with real players coming in via FA until a certain point where I institute a draft for them to come in.

Look in the college field. This file is just for info only. Changing it does nothing in game.

Excellent. So, if I delete someone from the Master.csv file they won't import in-game?

EDIT: And f I sort by college so I can delete those players easily will anything be affected. I am not excel-literate.

This is just a human list. It does nothing in the game.

I see. That's what you said the first time. My bad, I misread it.

Just to be clear, there is no way to mass-delete players from the database? The only way to get rid of players is once they are imported, using the master list as a tool to them recognize them?

Also, is there a year where I should start adding fictional players or having the game generate draft classes? Because Roberto Osuna has the latest birthday (in 1995).

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

Agh, another little thing...

I setup a league in 1871. I deleted a couple players and during the off-season when the rookies showed up in the free agent pool it imported these players that I had deleted the previous season along with all the new players. Know why this is and how I can stop it from happening?
