Rom,

I will get your lists up later, have to go pick my wife up from airport, actually she was in your part of town, Ft. Lauderdale, visiting some college classmates for a couple of days. Let me know if you want to do anything specific with Savon. I will either get them up within the hour before I leave (will try), or definitely check tomorrow morning and I will have them done.

Oh, I don't think there is any mystery about who Savon wants to fight but if he isn't available then just anyone with a decent rank in the CNBF will do. Taking out Kid will get Savon back on track to where he was before last month.

I have a feeling that this fight is going to get real ugly for Mayorga.

I am sure he had a cig lit up too! Did you see that teleconference the other night with Vargas and Mayorga talking crap in Spanish with Jim Gray? Mayorga just lights up in the interview...just hilarious!

So, I am assuming that means that you want an immediate rematch with Kid Cardenas? If that is so, no problem. Just let me know so I wont have to put a list up.

Mayorga's lack of defense is going to cause it to be a long night unless he can get lucky and land a bomb or two.

Calzaghe offered EBU Title shot in August...

EBU Board of Governors and EBU Champion, Franco Cavicchi have made the first offer to U.K.B.G. and Joe Calzaghe for the opportunity to fight for the EBU Title in August. The fight would take place in Cavicchi's home country of Italy. Calzaghe would have to relinquish the BBC Title if he chooses to accept an EBU title shot. If Calzaghe turns down the offer, Denmark's, Soren Peterson will accept the offer. If Calzaghe accepts, Peterson will receive the next defense of the EBU Title.

Scandinavian Boxing Union Championship

SBU Title Fight - Scandinavium Arena, Gothenburg, Sweden

Ollie Bergwall, Sweden, 13-3-0 (11) vs Harry Persson, Sweden, 12-1-0 (9)

In an extremely entertaining championship fight, Persson puts Bergwall down in the 2nd. Both fighters exchange heavy blows in the 7th, 20-15, and 8th, 20-18. Persson keeps the pressure on and the ref stops the fight due to the damage sustained, swollen right eye and deep gash over right eye, at the 0:13 second mark of the 9th round. Harry Persson wins the initial Scandinavian Boxing Union Title.

Winner: Persson
Result: (TKO9)
Cards: 76-75 Bergwall, 76-75 Bergwall, 76-75 Persson
Punch stats: 253-617, 41% Bergwall - 180-414, 43.5% Persson

Caribbean Islands Boxing Federation Championship

CIBF Title Fight - Edelweiss Park, Kingston, Jamaica

O'Neil Bell, Jamaica, 15-3-0 (15) vs Juan Carlos Gomez, Cuba, 12-4-0 (8)

The first ever CIBF Title fight is action-filled and marred by low blow fouls from Juan Carlos Gomez. The first two rounds are split and Gomez is warned for low blows in the 2nd round. The fight is over in the 5th as the ref disqualifies Gomez for what he deemed an intentional low blow after being warned twice before. The initial Caribbean Islands Boxing Federation winner is O'Neil Bell.

Winner: O'Neil Bell
Result: (DQ5)
Cards: 39-37, on all three cards in favor of Bell
Punch stats: 126-244, 51.6% Bell - 102-258, 39.5% Gomez

Eastern Hemisphere Boxing Association Championship

EHBA Title Fight - Ukrainian House, Kiev, Ukraine

[Champion] Vitali Klitschko, Ukraine, 16-3-0 (15) vs [8/29] Ike Ibeabuchi, Nigeria, 22-5-0 (19)

This is a fight between two large men that want to throw nothing but big punches with bad intentions. Both fighters come into the fight in excellent shape. Ibeabuchi has a 8-3-0 (7) record in title fights. Klitschko has a 5-3-0 (4) in title fights. The first three rounds are full of action as Ibeabuchi has silenced the crowd here in the Ukraine. Klitschko comes out in the 4th and dominates the round, 26-4, hurting Ibeabuchi. The ref is carefully watching as Ibeabuchi barely fights back. The champ continues to press the action in the 5th, as he believes that Ibeabuchi hasnt recovered from the beating he took in the last round. Ibeabuchi goes down from a big right hand and is unable to get up at the 2:48 mark of the 5th round. Vitali Klitschko retains his EHBA title.

Winner: Klitschko
Result: (KO5)
Cards: 38-37, 38-37, 39-37, all cards in favor of Ibeabuchi
Punch stats: 85-182, 46.7% Ibeabuchi - 173-309, 56% Klitschko

To all managers/promoters/trainers...

I have decided to let you sign another fighter to your stable (max 4) since I have opened up so many new sectional titles. Plus, I dont know if Aztec is still active and I know that Villebillie, UKBG and Muckboys are really actively pursuing the 10 fight mark to get ranked for a title shot. Let me know if you are interested and what fighter you are interested in signing. Remember, there are a lot of sectional titles now so you may want to choose a boxer from a different part of the world to have a chance at more title opportunities.

We'll take a trip over to the other side of the world and sign crazy Thai slugger Khaosai Galaxy. Which gives me two legit World title threats and two guys who'll probably stay on the Regional/Sub-Regional level which I think is a damn good mix.

I like the mix and it is a region that is really uncontested right now. Stankovich is the only one mixing it up in the ICBA, but the other regions are wide open. The only thing is, Galaxy wont be able to start in August, I have to do some file creating for the ABCO, OPBF region. This is good though, because that is a region that I have been neglecting. I will get started today and hopefully he might be able to debut in August but I am looking more for September.
