You've done a full uninstall and reinstall? Check to see if there is still a FHM file within program files and manually remove after the uninstall. Then install the game again and it should work.

Ya. I did delete the folder with additional files after the uninstall. Luckily, for whatever reason, I had two windows updates due and when they completed, my game worked finally. My guess is that there was a missing generic file and that got reinstalled in the update.

JustinA, was the program not responding in the task manager when you received the white screen? Has this happened more than once?

I originally posted on steam forums and they told me to post here with the details I gave there.

I've created a custom game. It has 30 teams, 2 conferences, 4 divisions. It keeps crashing when it reaches 3rd September and I have no idea why. I do not know if the game is bugged for custom, or if there's something not right within the game itself. It does this with commissioner mode on and off. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have no clue about Hockey, and have something in which conflicts with something else?

I was also told to upload my save file so the developers can look at it... but how do you do that on here?

Strange problem as of my second season in NHL game my schedule plays 82 games against the other division in my conference so I edited the league to play 24 in conference and 30 in division but since there is no slot to put games against other conference it just adds up the difference to the in conference. this means I can only play in conference games. this happened as of 119 with a new league opening day. I started another league and by default it says 0 in division and 0 in conference, when i tried to generate a new schedule it defaulted to 82 games in conference, What can I do?

There is no doubt I have seen more crashes at this point in custom leagues then modern day. Here is the instructions to upload to the FTP. PM me if you have any issues and let me know what the game name is you save it under.

Newest development. After downloading the patch from the forum my Steam game works... Yeah... But still cant play any out of conference games ...... Help

First of all: never update the Steam version with an update from this site, the Steam version will update on its own!

Secondly, the Steam version was released with the newest patch included, so there is no need to update it (no other update was released after its initial release).

For your scheduling problem: I guess you talk about a custom league with NHL like structure (16 and 14 teams in conferences)?

Leagues with the same number of teams in each conference can schedule inter-conference games (it is the difference between div + conf and total games). Leagues with a different number of conference teams can't schedule inter-conference games, the difference between div + conf and total games will be transformed to conf games as well.

Minor text bug. When you start a game unemployed, and you get offered a job (in KHL both times I've tried, different teams as I had different reputation, greenhorn and bad), they offer you a salary.

The news about your contract say that your salary is 0 and have been signed for 0 years.

This happened both times.

Actually no on all counts, I uninstalled both versions and reinstalled the steam version however when I tried to play it would hang and not respond in task manager, Once I installed the patch from this site then the steam version started working without hanging. As for the league it is not a custom league it is an opening day pure vanilla NHL leagues for which I play montreal. In my saved game I played the first season with no problem and then started the second season. However after a while I noticed this was my 7th game against the rangers and I checked the schedule to realise that my entire schedule was against the other division in my conference so I fast forwarded through the season to see what was on the league edit screen, I selected edit league and saw that the games against conference was set to 82 and thought maybe I had edited it my mistake at some point. So I set the games vs division to 30 and games vs conference to 24 and saved and generated a new schedule, Everything looked fine on the league edit screen so I looked at my schedule. Now I was playing teams in my div and conf but nothing against the west, SO I went back to edit league and saw that games vs conf had set ITSELF to 52 the difference between 30 games in div and 82 total games, So I started looking for a place to set the out of conf games but found none, So I started another new league looked at the league edit screen and saw that the games vs div and games vs conf were set to 0 by default, I decided to try and generate a new sched to see it the problem would reappear and sure enough it generated a sched with 82 games vs conf, That is when I deinstalled and reinstalled as explained before( which did not go so well as stated above) and I still cannot generate a sched were I play games vs the western conf,

So I am at a lost as to what to do next, I have a saved game NHL where all I have done was generate a new sched and I have a saved game where I am in my 3rd season both with the same problem. Both are Steam 1.6.19 versions running on windows 7 and I have been playing since version 1.3.1 with only a small problem on version 1.6.1 where I could not get past July 1st. Apart from that all as been ok. I start a new league with every new patch.

Please help

PS thanks for all the work by the way it is not perfect but it is by far the best Hockey game out there and takes about 80% of my playing time. Only one thing bothers me and it is the automatic reorg of my lines and their ice time without any warning whenever someone gets hurt or gets a misconduct, Apart from that great game,

Both teams are in penalty. But the players on the ice, shows full teams. Seems that it does not correctly update the players in this case.

If I notice properly those are 3:45 of penalty each which would mean coincidental majors for fighting. In such a case it would be 5 on 5 hockey meaning full lines as per the graphics shown in the screen shot.

Well, I posted on here five days ago and uploaded my save files to the FTP site as asked, then whispered dave1927p, as asked. But I've yet to hear anything, at all, from anyone, not even a confirmation that they have, or haven't, got my save files.

Crash when starting new historic league, 1982, Edmonton Oilers (to have Gretzky in action!!). I have a 2009 MacBookPro.

Did the lineup and left standard tactics. Just before first game, I tried to trade 3 of my young players for a good RD from another team. Then when I hit "Play Game at Calgary Flames ..." crash.

I have a save game just from before that moment. Have tried again without trading and with trading, always crashes.

edit: creating a new 1982 Oilers game, automatic lineup and everything, no trades, etc, works fine the first game.

Dunno if it should be posted here, but I noticed that there's something going on with the salary cap.

I have no open contract offers left, so it's kinda confusing, since I don't know what's right and what's wrong.
