Eye Of The Tiger: Delgado Tigers News

End of the season report.

With the Warriors winning the Battle of Endor, they have become the team to beat next season. We have a team capable of winning the AL East over them next season as it stands now but my focus for the off season is to sign a #2 SP, a utility IF and trade away 1-2 bullpen arms. I can either acquire the utility IF with those trades but i will sign the SP. Shohei Otani is my #1 goal. Matt Williams & Joe Caine are my #2 and #3.

Player Recap.

SP Richard Aubuck L/L # 76
Bid D went 8-1 with a 2.81 ERA after coming over from Gotham City. there is a chance I might re-sign him but it will not be before FA begins. I am hoping he goes to the NL East.

Cf Brett Bremer S/L #27
Brett had a great season overall but i see his role being more as a role player next season. He will drop to 5th or 6th in the lineup with Kool kat hitting 3rd. He is a FA after 2035 and i hope to bring him back on a 1 yr deal.

C George Cain S/R #37
George is arbitration eligible and I plan on keeping him for at least one more season. Defensively he is as good of Hoffman and offensively he had an ok season. He will be the Od starter but if he falters, Hoffman could take over.

Rf Dragisa Coviski L/L #36
Dragisa is also arbitration eligible but will not be offered arbitration. I am sure he could be a star in the IBL or a 4th OF with one of the new UBL teams.

RP Buffalo Club L/L #57
Buff had a solid season and is an important part of my pen. He is also AE and right now will be offered a 1 yr deal.

Eye Of The Tiger: Delgado Tigers News

SS/LF Joe Cottoneye S/R #16
Joe had an off season this yeaqr. He is still the #1 option to play all 8 positions. He lacks power but is good on defense and has some speed. He enters the last year of his contract.

SS/DH Greg Counsell S/R #46
Greg did ok after coming over from Havana. He did great vs LHP but his lack of power hurt the Tigers at times. I will not rule out bringing him back after FA but it's doubtful.

RP Rooster Evans R/R #74
Rooster did great in his 1st full season. right now, he is more of a long relief but he could be a Closer at some point and could compete for teh SU role next season.

RP Wrigley Field L/L #11
Wrigley at times was dominant but is prone to surrender a costly HR. He will be an integral piece of the bullpen in 2035.

C Rebecca Hoffman S/R #9
Rebecca started out her rookie year on fire at one point stealing the starting job away from George Cain but she hit around .209 after July 15th. she will go into the 2035 season as the backup but could steal the starting job from him. she threw out close to 50% of the runners.

Eye Of The Tiger: Delgado Tigers News

RP Mike Jackman R/R #85
Mike did not play much at the ML level after coming back from his injury in 2033.He will compete for the SU role in 2035.

SP Fairweather Johnson R/R #19

FW is a great player to have on the team. He is comfortable as both a starter and as a reliever. I do not know what his role will be in 2035 but it will most likely be as a SP. He enters the finals year of his contract.

Rf Tigger Johnson L/L #21
Tigger won his 5th AL MVP this season, proving that age has not caught up with him yet. He hit his 500th Hr cementing his place in Ewok Village. I plan on batting him 2nd in 2035 currently but that depends on how Kool Kat does hitting 3rd. He could bat 5th.

SP Walter Johnson R/R #45
Big Train won his 1st JWA after coming over from Schaumburg. i am concerned at how poorly he pitched since August 15th though. He did great in relief in Game 7 of the ALCS. He will be my #1 going into OD 2035.

3b/1b Fred Jones R/R #3
Fred did well in a backup role in September for us and provided great leadership at AAA. I am sure someone will give him a chance to be a 5th IF.

2b Kool Kat S/R #23
Kool won the 2034 AL ROTY and finished 3rd in AL MVP voting. He, along with Mighty Joe Young, Rum Tum Tugger and Anna Kournikova will carry this teams offense into the future. a 5 tool 2b in the vein of Ryne Sandberg , yet better.

Lf Anna Kournikova S/R #1
Anna has back-to-back 100+ stolen base seasons. she is perhaps the best leadoff hitter I have ever had. she is the fastest. She has become a solid Lf where her defense isnt as much of an issue. I plan on using her in cf in ST to backup Brett when needed.

RP Shusui Kurota R/R #17
Shu did good but not great after coming over from Anaheim. He will compete for the SU role but i am more inclined to use him as long relief to start the season.

SP Bill Lurte L/L #33
Bill continues to defy father time and although he struggled his last 7 starts and failed to win 20 games, he still was great SP. He is slated to be the #3 going into OD, but i need to sign or trade for a #2 1st.

SP Jose Medina R/R #26
Jose started out the season as the #5 then lost his job to Fairweather. Depending on if I am able to sign or trade for ASP that will determine what Jose's role in 2035 will be. I think he will be a solid #5

Eye Of The Tiger: Delgado Tigers News

P Vincente Morales R/R #51
Vincente came over from the St. Louis Cardinals organization in the Bill Novo trade and started 1 game for us. He could start for us some in 2035 but will mostly be at AAA. I am unsure what his long term role could be in the EBL, either SP or RP.

RP Ricardo Ortiz R/R #7
In parts of 2 EBL seasons Ortiz has a 0.00 ERA for us. He has become a bit forgotten about on the depth chart of great RP within our system. He will most likely start the season at AAA.

RP Comiskey Park R/R #20

Commie is probably my best RP overall. He came back from an injury but was lights out at AAA. He is 1 of 5 that will compete for the SU role next season and i plan on him taking over as the Closer in the near future.

P Mario Ramos L/L #38
Mario is our #1 pitching prospect and he should see some action is 2035 depending on injury. Worse case is he becomes a solid long man out of the pen at some point.

Lf Jose Ruiz R/R #12
Jose unfortunately does not factor ino my plans for 2035. He will start the season at AAA.

Cf Gerald Russell S/R #5
Gerald will compete with Hal Welch as the 4th Of next season. He is younger and can play all 3 OF spots but he doesn't have Hals toughness, rep with the team nor his speed.

3b Juan San Antonio R/R #35
Juan is still a great player but has slowed a bit offensively and has become more of a role player now. He won his 9th Gold Glove at 3b this season but he is more of a 7th or 8th hitter on the team now.

RP Willie Simmons R/R #92
Willie keeps proving to me that he is a great SU/Cl but i keep not seeing the signs. That being said, if i trade any RP away it will be him. Otherwise he will be the OD SU man.

SP Bill Stupec R/R #28
Bill was great as a rookie this season. He will be our #4 SP in 2035.

CL Kyoji Toiguchi R/R #34
Ky is a great CL. Lights out most of the time and he doesn;t walk anyone. I hope to use him more often in 2035 but we tended to have big leads going into the 9th this season.

SS Rum Tum Tugger R/R #4
Rum was solid for us as a rookie. i would like to see him improve on defense and with his power in 2035. Right now he is slated to hit 6th.

Lf Hal Welch L/L #8
With Anna becoming the Lf, Hal will enter the 2035 season as the 4th OF. He can play all 3 spots and is great on D and has plus speed. He will start at times.

1b Mighty Joe Young R/R #72
while Tigger is our MVP and Co-Captain, our team and offense revolves around Joe. He will hit 4th next season, as he did this season and i think he will be AL MVP next season.

P Adam Hernandez R/R #48
Adam missed most of the season with an injury as will not be back with us in 2035.

Of Tim Milton R/R #13
Tim is a capable 5th Of for most teams but Delgado is not one of them. If i can unload him, i will otherwise he will be at AAA until September but Ruiz is higher on the depth chart now.

2035 EBL HOF Ballot

There are 32 players on the HOF ballot. There are no clear HOFers but I think Tom McCain, Lee Brow & Eric Kolzow stand the best chance.

Don't bottle your emotions till they crack and fill a couple just sorrows
Take your mind and refocus go get a paper write your goals out
Throw your middle fingers to all your haters

"Stay Strong"
