I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the LBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization.
*** note ** going back to using post prime and end for reasons not explainable right now. Because of the high drop off though, starting next month pre/post/end will all have a 50% chance of facing a TC everytime they are scheduled to fight which should help keep their records in check. As always in the LBA this rule will stay in effect until I feel like changing it July 12, 1909 FW - Jem Driscoll (CH) (32-5-1) DRAW10 Watty Austin (14/16) (11-11-3) (Austin stepped up to FW for this non-title bout, second time Austin has given Driscoll fits, first time driscoll won a SD10. We'll see how Austin finishes out the year and maybe I'll move him up for a title shot, he needs to win a fight or two though) MW - Dan Creedon (16/14) (22-12-1) UD10 Frank Craig (4/7) (25-12-2) (good fight 3 kd's total) MW - Eddie McGoorty (UR/2) (14-1) TKO8 Sailor Burke (UR/22) (10-4-1) (both at pre) FW - Young Pluto (UR) (11-1) UD10 Billy Ross (UR) (6-8) (both at pre) WW - Charles Gleason (UR) (8-0) KO6 Billy Nalley (UR) (6-6-1) (both at pre for this club fight) BW - Joe Bowker (club) (16-19-7) UD10 Johnny Reagan (club) (3-19) (both at post for this club fight) |

They had split two UD a few years prior to this match. McAulliffe never allowed Gilmore to get into the fight pounding him from the opening bell. McAulliffe laned 102 punches in the 5:34 seconds this fight lasted. Gilmore was out on the ropes when the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Fitzsimmons cruises past Byers

As always in the LBA this rule will stay in effect until I feel like changing it Bob Fitzsimmons (CH) (32-4) scored an easy TKO4 over George Byers (7/6) (12-6-1) to defend the LBA portion of his unified titles. Byers scored some early shots in the first and may have won the round. Fitz took over in the second pounding away at Byers. Byers' left eye started to swell in the 3rd. Then he went down under a barrage of shots in the 4th. He managed to get to his feet, but Fitz came right in and finished him off. August 1909 beginners
The beginners had a successful month going 53-9-2 against the TC's. Due to changes in my aging routine only one fighter moved up.

Rule change
***Rules update*** since I am going back to using career stages and also shortening the max amount of time off a fighter can have (all because of new aging routine) I have decided to let all non prime fighters have a shot at fighting a TC. Fighters can be forced because of a loss result or suspension to sit 4 months. Any fighter not forced has to fight after being off 3 consectutive months (it used to be 4).
% chance of fighting TC Beg - 100% pre (club) - 60% pre (unranked (less than 15 fights) main) - 60% pre (ranked main) - 40% post - 50% end - 50% |

Peter Jackson have the Experience to beat Burns, i will go for a UD for Jackson HW - (LBA/C) Jack Johnson (34-1) vs Joe Jeannette (18-0) Jack Johnson will destroy Jeannette in 5 rounds, if he win i want to see a Jackson Vs Johnson for the UNIVERSAL HW title ![]() MW - (LBC) Billy Papke (17-1) vs Charles McCoy (23-8-3) This its a hard one because Papke have less experience but he is the champion and McCoy have more experience, but i remember the last fight and i think Papke will beat this guy witha a TKO 12 WW - (LBA) George Cole (9-7-4) vs #2 Joe Gans (27-3-3) I dont trust Cole, so i hope Gans will destroy Cole in 6 or 7 rounds ![]() WW - (Nontitle) Peter Jackson (21-3) vs #1LW George Lavigne (26-11-1) i think Jackson have enought talent to beat Lavigne, Jackson UD 15 |

Stages of my universe month
Okay so now with the different aging formula and going back to using the post-prime and end career stage I am having to do stages during the month.
First as usual comes the beginners this month they went 53-9-2 Next all pre-prime, post prime and end fighters have a chance to fight TC's the % were listed in a previous post. Also because it will take more fights to move a fighter to a different career stage I have declared that unless mandated by a TKO/KO loss the most months a fighter can take off is 3. This resulted in 254 out of 634 main and club fighters were scheduled to fight. 92 if those got to fight TC's and they went 86-4-2 against them. Now the reason I am doing this is to avoid post prime and end fighters from losing every single fight. At least they can have a few wins here and there. So that was Stage 2 of my month. Stage 3 is to get the remaining fighters down to 132 (because 11 (66 fights) is my max # on fight cards per month - no reason just a personal preference) so after stage 2 I have 162 fighters left. So I schedule all the fights, then I will pick 15 fights (always club fights) to schedule by hand in the autoscheduler and run them all at once. Which I just completed. Now I have my 66 fights left and will start the fight cards. This was a post just to inform anyone who cares how I run my months. Plus for anyone wandering why it is always a few days inbetween one month's fight cards and another month's. |

Jackson retains title with a draw
I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the LBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization.
August 1, 1909 Peter Jackson (30-5-1) retained his LBF title with a very uninspired draw against Tommy Burns (F1/F1) (20-6-2). Burns controlled the early part of the fight and was repeatedly warned for obvious fouls but never penalized. Jackson showed some life in the middle rounds but it wasn't very impressive. No knockdowns or cuts. Burns' right eye started to swell in the 14th. I had Burns winning 143-142. George Thorn, ringside expert, had it the same but for Jackson. The official judges agreed with us with the 3rd having it even. On the undercard HW - John Dwyer (38/38) (22-10-1) TKO4 Steve Reynolds (58/54) (8-9-2) MW - Joe Thomas (22/22) (12-3-3) MD10 Ed Denfass (UR) (8-5) (denfass at pre for this fight) LW - Charley Sieger (UR) (8-3-3) DRAW10 Ed Connolly (29/30) (8-8-2) (Sieger at pre for this fight) LW - Harry Pidgeon (UR) (8-0-1) TKO4 Paddy Smith (UR) (7-4-1) (both at pre for this club fight) FW - Ole Oleson (club) (10-11-2) UD10 Billy Whistler (club) (8-14-5) (whistler at post for this club fight) |

McCoy gets to keep belt this time
I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the LBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization.
August 6, 1909 Charles McCoy (3/CH) (24-8-3) fought a different fight this time and dominated Billy Papke (4/4) to win a UD15. McCoy fought much more defensively this time around and never was any trouble. He won alot of rounds early to build a nice lead and then dropped Papke in the 11th, when Papke was making a comeback. Papke could never get his head into the fight, esp. after getting warned for foul tactics early in the fight again. I had it 145-142. Steve McCarthy, ringside, had it 145-141. The official judges had it 145-141/146-140/145-140. On the undercard MW - Tommy Ryan (9/8) (35-2-1) UD10 Jack Moffat (18/21) (11/10) WW - Dick Nelson (UR) (9-4) UD10 Dal Hawkins (15/12) (11-11-1) (Nelson at pre) FW - Fred Johnson (UR) (9-2-1) TKO1 Jack Roberts (23/club) (6-11) (johnson at pre) HW - Tom Lees (25/25) (20-15) SD10 William Miller (54/club) (12-17-3) (miller at post) LH - Charles Cooley (club) (5-11-2) SD10 Harry Baker (7-11-2) (club fight) |
