Thanks for the quick response! I never saw Carney fight, but I know he seemed to have Eddie Owens numbere. Another fighter from the Lowell area who beat Owens at the end of his career was Matty Ross. Do you have any photos of him? I use to work out with Matty on a regular bases. He had great potenital, but was inconsistent when it came to conditioning. Austin |

Carney
Larry Carney had a devastating left hook. He broke Eddie's nose in their pro meeting stopping him in the fifth round. In the GG Larry beat Eddie 2 or 3 times (I'm not sure of the number) for the NE middleweight title in the NE Tournament of Champions.
Matty Ross' brother lives a few miles from me I'll see what I can do.
