Uganda - Conclusive
I'll post all results from Uganda on this post.
Heavyweights: Peter Okhello recieves an Automatic Bid. Cruiserweights: We have a pair of fighters in the Cruiserweight Division. Final: Franco Wanyama vs Mustafa Wassaja - A slow paced tactical bout that left the judges scratching their collective heads trying to score the fight at the end of 15. It went 7-6 Wanyama, 8-6 Wassaja and 8-6 for the winner by split decision Wassaja who is now 1-0-0 (0) heading into the World Tournament. The following recieve automatic bids into the World Tournament: LHW - Joseph Kiwanuka SMW - James Lubwama Jr. Middleweights: Semi-Finals: Ayub Kalule vs John Bosco - Kalule patiently dismantled Bosco with a blistering attack both up and down stairs throughout, scoring a pair of knockdowns including one in the fatal 11th for the TKO win. John Mugabi vs Kassim Ouma - Both men swarmed the other at times but it was the pure brute strength of Mugabi that carried the day as he scored 3 knockdowns including 2 in the 5th round before the referee stepped in to hand Mugabi the TKO win. Final: Ayub Kalule vs John Mugabi - This was a pickem fight that was expected to be very close, but Mugabi's power came into play in the 3rd with a knockdown then another early in the 4th before the KO shot from a wild hook at the end of the round sent Mugabi to a 2-0-0 (2) record and the World Tournament. The following fighters will recieve automatic bids into the World Tournament due to lack of competition: LW - Justin Juuko JLW Cornelius Boza-Edwards FW Jackson Asiku |

Ukraine - Heavyweights - Quarter-Finals
We have 7 fighters in the Heavyweight Division so top seeded Vitali Klitschko will recieve the bye (Note: I am still using the same ratings that I started the tourney with, and at the time both Vitali and Wladimir were rated 11's)
Quarter-Finals: Wladimir Klitschko vs Alex Mazikin - The dreams of a Klitschko brothers final went up in smoke as Mazikin opened a cut in the very first minute of the fight that refused to stay closed. By the 5th round the claret was flowing so badly that the ring doctor ordered the fight halted and Mazikin, the prohibitive underdog walked out with the improbable TKO win! Taras Bidenko vs Oleg Platov - Bidenko used quickness and punches in flurries to keep Platov off balance in this one to win the decision 8-5, 8-5 and 7-5. Alexander Dimitrenko vs Vladimir Virchis - A tough and grueling fight saw Dimitrenko down in 3 different rounds before scoring the shocking 15th round KO to move to the next round! Virchis was up 8-6, 8-6 and 7-7 through the 14th round. |

Ukraine - Heavyweights - Semi-Finals
Semi-Finals:
Vitali Klitschko vs Alex Mazikin - Mazikin fought hard and opened a cut on Klitschko that endangered his chances of finishing the fight. Klitschko didn't leave anything to chance however, coming out in the 11th round and scoring the KO with a precision combination to avenge his brother's defeat. Taras Bidenko vs Alexander Dimitrenko - A good action bout early by this pair of tacticians turned into a slog in the latter rounds as both men ran out of gas. With several very close rounds, the decision was in doubt as it went to the score cards. The judges had it 8-5 Bidenko, 9-5 for Dimitrenko and 8-6 for the winner by split decision Bidenko. |

Ukraine - Heavyweights - Final
Final:
Vitali Klitschko vs Taras Bidenko - Klitschko wasted little time, battering Bidenko around the ring from the opening bell, then landing a straight right hand to score the KO with 10 seconds left in the 1st round. Klitschko improves to 2-0-0 (2) heading into the World Tournament where he has a shot at a medal. |

Ukraine - Conclusion
I'll post the rest of the contests from the Ukraine here.
Cruiserweights: 2 fighters here, so we head to the finals. Final: Alexander Frenkel vs Alexander Gurov - An all out brawl saw Gurov down in the 6th and Frenkel down in the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th rounds. Despite that Frenkel waged a furious rally in the final 2 rounds to keep it close as it went the distance. The judges had it 9-6, 9-5 and 9-6 for Gurov who moves to the World Tournament at 1-0-0 (0). Light Heavyweights: We have 3 fighters in this class so the top seeded Yuri Barashian will recieve the bye. Semi-Final: Alexej Trofimov vs Vasyl Kondor - Good bodywork finally slowed Kondor down to allow Trofimov to get closer and land a devastating uppercut in the 9th for the KO. Final: Yuri Barashian vs Alexej Trofimov - Barashian got off to a stinker of a start only to see Trofimov wagea furious comeback, battering Trofimov without mercy in the 7th round before the referee stepped in to stop the bout. With the TKO, Barashian is now 1-0-0 (1) heading into the World Tournament. Super Middleweights: There are 2 fighters in the Super Middleweight Division. Final: Vitali Tsypko vs Vitali Kopitko - Kopitko opened a gash over the left eyebrow of Tsypko and targeted it throughout the fight, finally ending the bout in the 12th when it became a gusher. Kopitko was well up on all 3 cards at the time of the TKO. Kopitko is now 1-0-0 (1) heading into the World Tournament. Middleweights: Andriy Khamula recieves the automatic bid into the World Tournament. Jr. Middleweights: We have a pair of Jr. Middleweights. Final: Sergei Dzindziruk vs Viktor Fessetchko - Dzindziruk scored knockdowns in the 1st and 2nd then settled in before scoring the KO early in the 7th round. Dzindziruk is now 1-0-0 (1) Welterweights: We have 3 fighters in the Welterweight Division. The top seed, Yuriy Nuzhnenko will recieve a bye. Semi-Final: Viktor Plotnikov vs Vyacheslav Senchenko - Senchenko took control of a very close fight in the 11th then scored a knockdown in the 13th enroute to the TKO win. Final: Yuriy Nunzhnenko vs Vyacheslav Senchenko - An excellent back and forth slugfest saw Senchenko score a knockdown in the 11th then the KO shot in the 12th to move to the World Tournament with a 2-0-0 (2) record. Jr. Welterweights: We have 2 fighters in this division. Final: Andreas Kotelnik vs Dmitriy Salita - A tight fight saw both men hurt one another though neither went down or was marked. In the end Kotelnik surged to pull out the 9-4, 6-6 7-5 majority decision and secure his spot in the World Tourney with a 1-0-0 (0) record. Bantamweights: Wladimir Sidorenko is the lone entrant, thus will enter the World Tournament on the automatic bid. |

United Kingdom - Heavyweights - Quarter-Finals
We have 7 fighters in the Heavyweight Division so the top seeded Horace Notice will recieve the bye.
Quarter-Finals: Jack London vs Cody Maddings - London was in complete control, but didn't seem to seriously hurt Maddings in this one, but in the 7th the referee stepped in deeming Maddings unable to continue, much to the chagrin of all in attendance. Call it a London TKO. Johnny Prescott vs Neville Meade - Prescott came out slugging which played right into the hands of the stronger Meade who built up a lead then Prescott changed tactics, dancing and jabbing to take a lead of his own, only to have Meade get a 2nd wind to take the last few rounds and the decision 8-6, 8-7 and 10-5. Hughroy Currie vs Arthur Townley - Currie seemed to have things well in control until he went down in the 8th then 3 times in the 9th before the referee called it for the TKO by Townley. |

United Kingdom - Heavyweights - Semi-Finals & Final
Semi-Finals:
Horace Notice vs Neville Meade - Meade started out fast, taking 5 of the first 7 rounds (on my card) while scoring a knockdown in the 7th. Notice scored one of his own as he took the remainder of the rounds (also on my card) as the fight went the distance. The judges scored it 10-4, 8-6 and 9-5 for Notice. Jack London vs Arthur Townley - London dominated, scoring knockdowns in the 2nd then the KO shot late in the 10th round. I had london ahead 9-0 through 9 rounds. Final: Horace Notice vs Jack London - Impressive effort by London was negated by some suspect scoring as the judges scored it 7-7, 8-7 Notice and 9-6 for London. Both men were down once in the fight, but it seemed to most observers that London had won enough rounds to withstand the comeback attempt by Notice in the latter rounds. Rematch: Horace Notice vs Jack London - Notice started out fast in this one, determined not to allow London to steal this one. Unfortunately he suffered a gash on the left eyelid in the 2nd round that reopened in the 6th for the London TKO. London improves to 3-0-1 (3) heading into the World Tournament. |

As stated in previous posts, I will be skipping the United States until all the other countries have been completed to make it easier for me to administer the tournament due to the large amounts of entrants in that country.

Venezuela - Super Middleweights - Final
There are a pair of pugilists in the Super Middleweight Division thus we head to the final.
Final: Fulgencio Obelmejias vs Gusmyl Perdomo - Obelmejias and Perdomo didn't stray from center ring throughout, and that played into the hands of the powerful Obelmejias who scored a knockdown in the 10th and 2 more in the 11th then piled on the damage until the referee had seen enough for the TKO. |

Venezuela - Welterweights
With 3 fighters in the Welterweight Division, top seed Engels Pedroza will recieve the bye in the Semi-Finals.
Semi-Finals: Crisanto Espana vs Mauricio Bravo - Bravo built up a lead before having a cut open on the inside of his left eyebrow. The cut continued to bother Bravo, hindering his vision until in the 12th the ring doctor felt it was too bad for the fight to continue. Espana earns the 12th round TKO and a date in the finals against Engels Pedroza. Final: Engels Pedroza vs Crisanto Espana - Espana had Pedroza's number, scoring seemingly at will then landing a knockdown blow in the 5th that was devastating as Espana was unable to defend himself from then on. The referee called it with 44 seconds left in the round for the TKO. Espana is now 2-0-0 (2) heading into the World Tournament. |
