I don't think I uploaded the wrong file... but it's always a possibility? Can anyone else confirm?

Ended up going through and knocking out that extra staff salary and tweaking the league totals in the minors for our league... and added the Atlantic League with all real players.

You guys will have to wait until early next week for that as I'm on vaca this week, but I'll throw it up when I get back.

Joe Mather 3B.
I hope it includes all the Transactions and Injures as of today because that would save me a set I wouldn't have to do again because I have Transactions up to today and people like A-ROD,Hanley Ramirez,Matt Lindstrom on the DL.
Is there a updated Japanese,Cuban,Mexican and so on Leagues out their?

I think i found a mistake - Salem red sox are in the California league and not in Carolina league like the suppose to and it's the opposite with Lancaster JetHawks. I guess they need to be swap.

MLB.com just recently like in the last couple days finally updated the pics, and there are lots missing... I have been downloading them over the last couple days and trying to grab as many of the missing ones from gettyimages.com. its taking a while to finish because of that, I have to find the pic with the least intrusive watermarking and then crop and resize it. I have 8 teams to go on players alone. MLB.com hasn't updated coaches and managers in some time, so I will try and see what I can get from getty images after I do players. So maybe by mid week I'll have something ready that could be useable

Edit: Players are done, finding current pics for managers and coaches is going to be time consuming because MLB.com doenst seem to want to update those, I am working on finding what I need on Getty images, but their watermarking is a pain in hte rear

CubbyFan,

It's awesome that you have added the Atlantic League, however, what exactly are you using for rosters? I know of Preston Wilson signing with Long Island, and a few other obscure players, but other than that, the rosters for the AL won't be fleshed out until May. I'm currently adding all of the independent leagues in addition to my ***, KBO, and CPBL roster sets, and the AL and the Golden Baseball League are all barren.

I used the final '08 rosters -- in the case of a player on an '08 ALPB team being on an MLB team, I left them in the majors. If that seems a little too stretched for anyone out there, feel free to just delete the ALPB and it will release all of those real life ALPB players into free agency. I figured most of them would re-up for '09.

Minor league totals should be pretty accurate now which is cool to see. You guys will still have to give me until Saturday or Sunday, but I think I can get a new file up then.

So wait...you can add independent leagues and actually have them be independent in OOTP? IE not affiliated with a ML team? How does that work? It sounds cool.

That's what I thought. Any chance if I send you my independent league rosters, you could re-rate them? My ratings are at the moment entirely random, unless I know pre-existing thing about a player.

Sure thing -- if you send them over, I can take a look. If you can, upload them to a share webspace and PM me the link.

I saved the file into ootp-saved games. Then unzipped them and went to load games. It was there and finally worked. I can't imagine how long this took cubbyfan, this guy is dedicated.
I'm having the same problems you were originally. Is there something else you have to do once you start up OOTP? If you have the updated 2009 rosters, should they appear at the outset, or will you still have the 2008 rosters until you do something else?

Make sure that the CF2009 3.lg folder is in the saved_games folder, and not in a sub-folder that is in the saved_games folder. For example, if you downloaded Cubby's rosters and extracted that file into a new folder (as I do out of habit to keep from having a hundred files on my desktop) then moved the new folder into the saved_games folder, you wouldn't see anything when you attempted to start a saved game as that window doesn't allow you to navigate to a different directory.

Check to make sure the CF2009 3.lg folder is in the level immediately below the saved_games folder or it will not work.

Is the current file (from the first post in this thread) as of 3/3/09 or has it been updated with later transactions?

If not, will there be a new file before opening day? Just wondering when I should grab the file and get started with 2009.

Thanks

If you're running windows, look in your documents folder, out of the park developments/OOTPX/saved games.

What unzipping system are you using? In most, just right click on the CF folder you dl'd, select desktop/documents/out of the park developments/OOTPX/saved games to unzip to>
