Wow, I must have missed that the Division Series is best-of-three. Will the League Title Series go back to best-of-seven?

I think I have really fouled up in more ways than one.... three games is not enough... teams should play at least best-of-five. And even worse... my League Events are out of whack... they are not listed on the league schedule and the playoff schedule is not advancing properly... games four and five are listed... Valmara and Rolling Hills did not advance to the League Finals. It's a mess!... hope I can fix it... hate to lose the whole season in my league history... got to figure how to get the playoff schedule back in sync. Hope I haven't ruined the entire IPA... EC has trouble when the League History is messed up and not accurate... that is hard for me to deal with. Last edited by Eugene Church; 09-24-2021 at 09:34 AM. |

I'm sure that someone on the discussion forum can walk you through how to fix it - I've seen others run into the same kind of issues. I think I'm going to go back to the Division Series being best-of-five... I like the sense of urgency that length of series gives without it being too short. I've experienced lots of drama when I had that format. I'll stick to the Union Championship Series being best-of-seven, and for the Pro Cup Series as well. |

You can only choose the playoff system in the preseason... but you can adjust the playoff schedule of each team during the season... I created the playoff schedule before the playoff began. I think I caused the problem... the playoff system had already set the schedule prior to the playoffs... I changed the team seedings they had set up and created new seedings. The game has kept the first two playoff stats for all the players, but it didn't keep the team records... when I redid the schedule it shows 0-0 for all the team records. I'm going to replay the opening round and see if the AI will advance to the next round properly... if it doesn't, I don't know what to do. The best thing to do is always keep it simple... don't make a lot of changes that aren't absolutely necessary... don't fix it, if it's not broken... wish I have never changed the best-of-seven playoff mode. I don't blame the game... it is my ignorance that caused this problem... the AI got mixed signals from me and my schedule and seeding changes. Last edited by Eugene Church; 09-24-2021 at 07:20 PM. |

I hope that you can get this fixed.
Because of situations like this I now back up my dynasty after every Pro Cup is completed. That way if the files ever become corrupted I'll only lose the results of 1 season at most. On my computer it takes only a couple minutes to complete and save a backup. |

Tuesday, October 7, 2070 RED SOX AND V'S SURPRISE FAVORED RACERS AND VIPERS IN FIRST-ROUND OPENERS. Current Pro Cup champion Rolling Hills and highly-rated Valmara have dug a hole for themselves in the IPA First-Round action... both favored teams fell in the best-of-three series openers... Red Bluff surprised Rolling Hills 7-6 in Tycobbian play and Volusia just barely upended Valmara 1-0 in the Ruthlandian Union... two other favorites came home the winners... Wynnamac beat Belair Beach 5-3 in RU action and Turon topped White River 3-1 in the Tycobbian Union. 2070 Tycobbian Union First-Round Series - Game 1 Last edited by Eugene Church; 09-25-2021 at 03:41 PM. |

Sorry for the mixups and problems... I will play out this series of game and see if the game gets the schedule synced up properly.
I'll contact Tech Support if the new schedule doesn't fix the playoff problems. |

Tuesday, October 7, 2070 RED SOX AND V'S SWEEP RACERS AND VIPERS IN IPA FIRST-ROUND UPSETS There are many things you have to notice in the Islandian Pro Alliance playoffs this year... the teams are evenly matched, the pitching is superlative and there is an abundance of tight and tense ballgames, at least in the early stages... no telling who will survive such intense competition... will it be unsung Red Bluff, unnoticed Volusia or perhaps lightly-regarded Belair Beach?... or will it be the much-respected Turon Typhoons or well-regarded Wynnamac Sundowners? In the Tycobbian Union the Red Bluff Red Sox served notice they are a genuine player for the 2070 Pro Cup Trophy... the Red Sox won two thrillers from defending IPA champion Rolling Hills and eliminated the proud and powerful Racers from the postseason playoffs by sweeping both games 7-6 and 4-3... Turon with sensational pitching also tamed the White River Rascals 3-1 and 2-0 to advance to the Tycobbian League Title Series aganst the red-hot Red Sox... in the Ruthlandian playoffs the Volusia Vigilantes have looked great upending favored Valmara in two straight intense affairs... the V's won 1-0 and 3-1 demonstrating a superlative pitching staff... they will take on the winner of the Wynnamac-Belair Beach affair. The Macs and Sunbirds split the first two games in first-round Ruthlandian action and will play the third-game finale Tuesday afternoon... Wynnamac won the opener 5-3 over Belair Beach, but the Sunbirds bounced back and stayed alive with a 3-2 decision over the Sundowners Monday afternoon... the victor will play Volusia for the RU Title in a best-of-three series. 2070 Tycobbian Union First-Round Series - Game 2 |
