West Quarters: Winnipeg vs. San Jose

San Jose leads 1-0 (win in 12th on Nick Mosley RBI-single)
series tied at 1
Winnipeg leads 2-1
series tied at 2
Winnipeg leads 3-2

The Sharks are in serious trouble. What a disaster it would be if they actually lost this series.

First Round Results

Unlike last year, there were no major upsets in the first round. The #1's and #2's are still alive.

Can the Sharks get revenge against the Ducks? Anaheim beat San Jose in last year's Western Conference Finals, 4 games to 3.

West Semis: Anaheim vs. San Jose

Anaheim leads 1-0
Anaheim leads 2-0
Anaheim leads 3-0
Anaheim leads 3-1
Anaheim wins 4-1

What a major disappointment for the San Jose Sharks. They won 113 games and finished 20 games ahead of 2nd place Calgary. They barely got past Winnipeg in the first round, and hardly put up a fight against Anaheim.

They are 12-5 in the playoffs.

The Phoenix Coyotes are winners of 2 Stanley Cups (1922 and 1940). Their last finals appearance was in 1967, which was 3 years ago. They lost to Montreal that year. The Coyotes got here by beating Edmonton in four, Calgary in five, and Anaheim in five. They are 12-2 in the playoffs.
