I'm playing in the English Premier Ice Hockey League and there is a really annoying bug.

So whenever I offer players with ratings greater than 4-stars a contract extension, they respond by saying I'm not offering them enough money (even though they are happy when agreeing to the contract) and then saying my team is offering them more money...

They don't end up signing with me and won't let me negotiate a new contract offer. This has happened every season and I've been playing for 6. It just happened with a pending 4.5-star player and a 4-star UFA.

Goalie Leaders still have stats truncated on the Mac with a "…" in some categories and the same with goalie popup data. Even at large resolutions. The individual stats column is just too narrow for some categories.

Example:

While technically not a bug, I'd like to post this here as it affects the game's credibility, in my opinion.

I started a game as Oakland Seal's GM in 1967. For an expansion team the first season was a struggle but I managed to get into playoffs, thanks to the weak expansion division. Then the team even reached the finals. Second regular season went a bit better, weak division was won, but post-season ended in the first round of play-offs (drafts were working, btw).

Then Bobby Orr, who had been the league's MVP for two seasons in a row, became a free agent, and I signed him. This would never have happened in real life, never.

In any case I think that franchises that struggled economically have way too much money for free agents. I hope there will be some future tweaks for this.

Really enjoying the game, nonetheless!

Dave Ellett became Dave The Lion, Scott Shaunessy became Scott Edmonton Express, etc. Almost all of the European guys had mangled names, including all of the former USSR (now Russia) guys, if that helps at all.

I've manually gone in and fixed them, using Hockey Reference, going alphabetically, it doesn't take long, but hopefully something you guys can get fixed.

On an interesting note - noticed Mark Jooris is in the game as a 1964 b-day (1982 draft), despite never making it to the NHL. He played in Finland and AHL, as well as Canadian National Team, but never NHL.

In this same historical,, I'm in 1982-83 now. This is the season that the NHL went to 18 skaters/2 goalies. The league rules page shows 18 skaters, but on the roster selection, it has a 19 limit on dressed. If I get the AI to set up organization, they'll dress 20, and the game is fine. If I want to make changes to my lineup (not actual lines, but who's dressing) the limit is 19. After that, it says "19 players already dressed". My options are let the AI choose who dresses each game, or have one less skater. Hardly ideal.

Also, the Auto-Play to Event (sim) page on the Mac while simming has truncated stats even at large resolutions.

Have another contract bug to mention. Not sure if it's been mentioned already but when offering some star players contracts... If I select "Meet demand" and then ask them what they think, they say its not good enough. So if I offer more money, they demand less money and become unhappy.

And also they have an issue with player role. For example, with one player I'm negotiating with right now, part of their demand is a Power Forward role. However, they say (paraphrasing) "I'd prefer to be a power forward. blah blah blah. I don't want to be a power forward." If I select no role, they get angry too.

It's a lose-lose situation lol

It's also impossible to edit the dressed skaters roster size rules in commissioner mode. The game just overrides immediately

My game keeps crashing on February 2, 2028. It's a regular league with a couple expansion teams added.

Sorry, I did not save it, and have moved a few years beyond. The player (Alexander Nylander) was in the first minors draft, so should be in all versions. I drafted him, but waited a couple of years to sign him, then at the end of his entry-level contract was when the problem happened and it said he had renewed for $3000, and I couldn't offer any extension. I am not sure what the AI-assistance settings are, though.

This happened again in 2021 in October at the waiver period. I claimed 1 player, and had 3 more players marked as "claimed" by me. This filled up my contract limit, and I will have to trade them away if I can. Fortunately they were only about 1 million dollars each, so it didn't affect my salary cap or budget.

I can't say I've noticed this before but in the newest build of the game, I'm noticing a really big difference in shots-on-goal. In a lot of games, it's almost a 2-1 margin. I know this happens IRL, but most games, it seems the shots-on-goals between the teams is a lot closer in the box scores. Like I said, I haven't seem to notice this before the new build. Of course I'm also playing a historical league set in the 1930s, so this might have something to do with it.

Nope.

What happened was Babcock was fired in the off season, I missed the playoffs as the Canucks, so I fired WillyD right away and hired Babs.

Has there been any progress made on the "All Star" game bug that is making games crash around All Star games?

Is that save toast or will it be playable again? I haven't heard much about a potential fix for this coming and I'm hesitant to start a new game in case it happens again.

Online league mangers bug

in online league commissioner mode when trying to remove GMs it always reads remove [first gms name] not the actual gms name. When selected it does however remove the proper gm.

Here's a bug I have encountered regularly in my historical games. When free agents come available (free agents file), I offer a contract to the best of them. They reply that my own team(!) have offered a better contract, so they raise their demands until they are not interested to negotiate anymore. While this makes the game more challenging (not able to sign the best free agents), it can't be working as intented.

I have an issue with the game crashing on 2/2/2017 whenever I try to sim past the date. I've tried simming to next game, finishing the day, simming the week, still the same issue. The game crashes in the middle of simming the day.

This is an expansion league with two expansion teams started as a new game, didn't have any issues with season one.

Please help!

This has been mentioned before, but I mention it again. If you start a historical game ('70s for me), ca. 95% of the players have "coachability"-value of 0. Can't be right.

There's a player in 1977-78 in my historical game called Pierre The Flea. I can't figure out who he actually is. He was born on Oct. 27th, 1957 in Napierville, QC.

Playoffs are 20 minute periods and should it stay tied in the FIRST OT it goes on....note the goalie minutes....this was a TRIPLE OT game.....

Could be Pierre Lagace - drafted in 3rd round by Montreal in 1977.
