I don't know if anyone's mentioned him, but how about Eric Davis? Was supposed to be the next Willie Mays.
Also, are you planning on including any of the Negro Leaguers who never got a shot? Josh Gibson, Cool Papa Bell, Satchel Paige, etc. |

I think i will use some Negro League players, that is a great idea.
I added Rusty Greer this morning, I used to love watching him play. All out every play. |

Add Bill Buckner - multiple ankle injuries robbed him of a lot of speed.

Glenn Davis, brings back memories.. I still consider him my favorite player ever. He and Will Clark were the best 1B in the NL in the late 80s. I cant remember exactly what happened to him when he got traded to Baltimore, I think it was a back injury or shoulder that he never recovered from. His numbers would have been so much better if he hadnt played in the Astrodome.
Staying on the Astros theme since I know them best, a few more coulda beens. Didnt see them listed Gerald Young..think he was 2nd in ROY voting in 1987 and got worse every year after. Eric Anthony.. This guy hit the longest homerun I have ever seen in my life. To really appreciate it you had to have gone to the Dome when it was still open and see the mark on the seat. Very Impressive. |
