Excellent, knuckler.
Especially like the horse figure for Colts...batter for Swingers...They both have a sense of motion and action to them. DC very well done, too. |

knuckler and FastLane:
The Drillers, Aces, Dodgers and Giants are great...really, really great. I just installed the Dodgers and Giants in my Alltime Allstar Baseball League. I will use the Drillers in my Texas League/Southern Association project which is down the road awhile...doing research for it now. |

Only six more to go; Baltimore Atlantics, Detroit Rounders, Kansas City Saints, Memphis Blue Sox, New York Kings, and Wichita Wizards. Great work so far fellas.
Cheers, dcc

FastLane and knuckler.... you guys are nailing these logos. I admire the ability to work within a basic motif and create logos that I believe real teams would adopt and actually sport on their uni's........
Like the Guinness dudes say "Brilliant!!"

Thanks Oriole66..
...you absolutely nailed exactly how I go about making logos for a team. I use the mindset of "would a major or mior league team use this logo to represent their team"? Sometimes, I feel I fall a little short of that standard--but that's where I'm aiming, at least.
This is one of the most enjoyable logo sets I've worked on. Knuckler is fun to work with because he's very speedy and I sometimes think he has the same design sensibilities as I do. So, I have to try to keep up with him. Can't have him beating me to the posting of a great logo...hehe.

Not my best logo. I really struggled to fit the crown into this when I might have been better off being less stubborn and just using the crossed NY.

Knuckler beat me to the punch...
...on the Atlantics. But another take on it gives you a choice, at least.
