I'm curious to see how it has all turned out so far. On uniforms and caps: I've actually decided to take a break from that for now as I've become occupied with some other things for now.

We've got 1565 faces ready to go...
It'll be about a 35MB zip file or a 15MB ACE file. Zip is probably the way to go, because i'm not sure how many people have winace. Can anyone host a 35MB file? |

Oh yeah, I probably should've mentioned that he doesn't exist. LOL
Well, looking closely I'm sure that was evident (still haven't solved the body to head size ratio and other stuff like that...but when I saw this guy I just had to post him)

The last two images (the Astro and the Tiger) are astonishingly good.

OK, I've bought in. After tinkering with the site, I am amused. My parents phone number makes a fey, madman Adolph Hitler lookalike. 8675309 looks like Keanu Reeves years after being released from a burn unit.
I just downloaded WinACE and the faces.xls spreadsheet. I am starting column 2. My first creation is a more butch Mike Piazza. |

35 done, and someone's router just went south. Must go fix it. I'll do more later.

OK, I've got 100 done from column 2.
I think I'm having a pretty high success rate. Better than 80% look really sharp. Some do look like real dogs. I've seen Daniel Day-Lewis, Chris Sabo, and Dante from Clerks in my batch. When I came to 6007115, I crashed to a halt. This man is Arturro Villegas, legendary catcher of the Cincinnati Reds. Reds fans in the early 1980's wondered who would fill the shoes of the Johnny Bench, who many consider the greatest backstop of all time. Two decades later, Bench was just the second best catcher in team history, as Villegas clubbed 600 homers, won 3 Gold Gloves and brought glorious World Series victory 4 times to Joe Nuxhall Park. Could someone jazz him up as a Red so I can put him in my HoF? |

Thanks for the support Raidergoo!
I've upload the ace file containining 1500+ formated faces, since i have the space to host the ace version. Find it here: http://home.comcast.net/~zbryanknight/Batch_1.ace Also, and this is a minor point, all the other faces have a black shirt with a white colar, not a black cloar. To the extent you're going to do any faces you havent already done, could you make the change? Thanks. |

Please let me know what revisions, if any, you would like to see and, if possible, I will do what I can to adjust the player photo to your preferences. After all, it is your HOF.NOTE: I had to crop a lot of the original photo because I could not yet find a good and workable portrait type photo that I have that went any further down the front of the player's jersy than what I had in Jr.'s pic. If you have a Reds photo with more of the jersy showing and would like me to use that instead just let me know and I could see what I could do with that. NOTE #2: The photo of Junior that I used has him wearing his cap pulled down much closer to his eyebrows than I made the cap in the photo below. I can change the cap to sit lower if you wish. I left it up as far as I did to give a bit of an uptilt to the cap but also to try to include more of his hair on the sides (and to account for all the hair above his head having to fit in the cap). But, like I said, its your HOF, so just let me know if you'd like it changed.

Hmm...I just tried a "sharpen" filter adjustment of the photo and came up with the below. Sometimes doing a sharpen helps and sometimes it makes it look a bit too gritty...I hadn't thought of trying that before I posted the other one...but I will just go ahead and post both so you can choose whichever you want.
I especially liked how the sharpen seemed to bring out a reflection of light in his eyes which IMO seemed to give a bit more life to the photo.

After a long day of work, I've died and gone to heaven. It isn't perfect, but it is an extraordinary proof-of-concept.
Wow. Thanks. Now I'm going to work on the back 100 of column 2. |

Well shoot. I just did all of column 2 and I'm in the process of uploading 10 mb of data, and NOW I read the part of using a black shirt and white collar. It was puzzling me on how you'd pick up where the shirt ended and neck began.
D'oh! I will see about correcting things next week. |

Also, for those interested in helping, we're finding that over large numbers only about half of the faces generated are usable. Keep that in mind when plowing through the columns. A list of 200 random numbers should yeild about 100 faces give or take...
