Not too many guys really have a claim in my book:

Schumacher
Fangio
Senna
Clark
Stewart
Andretti
Gurney
Moss

In approximately that order. I'd like to throw a few nascar and champcar guys in there, but most of the great ones were owned by Andretti and Gurney in their primes.

Prost, G. Villeneuve, Piquet, to name a few. I think Senna was the best, personally. Schumacher would be second.

I like Gilles, and Prost/Piquet were alright, but I'd take Schumi or Senna over any of those 3 in equal equipment in their primes.
