02/03 SEASON AND PLAYOFFS

Rangers stunned 14-3 by Islanders, who then beat us 6-4 a week later! Montreal also get a win and Philadlephia hold us to a 1-1 tie. Offence not scoring as much with Brind'Amour and Linden on 4th lines.Trade Ericsonn and our 1st 05 to DEtroit for thier 05 1st. Flames finally get the red hot start i've been expecting for 5 years plus.moving Markov to thrid line from 1ss d helps us play better, he's not fit into the team yet.Big Trade, Islanders get Forsberg for Sundin! Forsberg-Selanne-Mogilny is a hell of a line! Season is a disspoinment for us, 90 goals and 18 points less than last year, only 4 100 point scorers. League has 40+100 pts and 20+ 50 g scorers. Islanders and Flames not far behind us. Red Wings stun me by getting 117 points! Lemieux wins art ross with 184

Playoffs
Rangres ease past TB, NYI, and MTL for loss of 2 games. Flames out in first rnd as 1st seeds! Red wings without Gretzky get to the final beating Edm in a sweep! Brett Hull adn Tkachuk leading the way. We sweep them 4-0 Rangers win cup again. Demitra of Montreal has 29 points to win palyoffs scoring race, Hekduk 5th for us on 23. Have to look at our team, without LInden and Brind'Amour we really lost some goalscoring this year

Hart: Lemieux
Conn smytth:Lidstrom
Calder:A. Vermette(nas)
Norris: Lidstrom
Vezina: Khabibulin(NYR)

03/04 Pre Season

Draft:

1-Wheeler-Min(blow the chance to get Ovie-Malkin)
2-Malkin-Col
3-Yandle-Wah
6-Quick-San Jose
No one else when we pick so out 2 1st rnd picks p[lus all remaining ones to van two next 1st rnd picks. Elias out for 2 anaheim 1st rnd pics, Spezza takes his spot
Also trade Davis our bup gk plus our 06 1st for Det 1st. We've had all our detroit 1st rnd picks since god knows when, yet to get anything good yet.
Also sign FA Hartnell 21 yo as a back up fwrd. He also will most likely be trade bait.

Rankings

1)Rangers- Aim to get 550 goals this year.
2)Calgary-PLayers getting old Bure and Brodeur only 5 star
3)Monteal-BlakeDemitraZetterberg
4)Nashville-Chara/Nabokov, dont expect them to be this high
5)Tampa Bay-St Louis, H. Sedin, Lunogo Gionta

Despite the ranking i still see Edmonton and the Islanders to be in the top 5 and not nashville and tb. My 1st picks of ana, det, and van are rated, 22-8-16. Will target Edm picks soon as well.

03/04 Season

Anaheim start off on a flyer, and trade my first pick and theirs for Devils next 2, who are bottom of standing but projected 9th. Hopefully it'll work. And it does Devils finish 29th out of 30th! Its their defence which lert them down. Our offence is back to 601 goals. Modano edges out Lemieux for top point scorer First time in 24 years that Lemiexu or Gretzky has not won it! Detroit 7th and Van11th, Anaheim finished 4th, so glad i swamped their draft pick! 40 100 points players 20 50 goal scorers.

Playoffs: nashville finished 2nd much to my suprise, Red wins up there, Islanders and oilers in playoffs but both 6th seeds in their division. Top 5 predicted by computer was fairly right. Detroit again make the SC Final, have to say this is boring as hell. four years in a row Rangers win in 5.

Hart: Lemieux
Conn Smythe: Modano-39 points 9 clear of anyone else.
Calder: Joe Pavelski(ATL)
Norris:Lidstrom
Vezina:Giguere(MIN)

2004/2005

No Lock out, last year before Salaray caps comes in. Would be nice for a new challenge inthe SC. Detroit- Rangers has been 8 times in last 17 years. Brett Hull at 39 still have a 117 goal season. He is 4th all time on goals with 1452, his Dad third on 1343. Hull can go 3rd and Overtake Howe with 3 more goals.

Draft: Sidney Crosby is available. still a few years before we get the 100 points players, but haven't had many low draft picks recently and my team is not well stocked. I also have serious cap issues, so will have to let a few of my players go.

1Crosby-Columbus(Reunites with Malkin!)
2Kessel-NYR

3-Kopitar-Atlanta
5-Letang-Pitt

Niedermayer, and Hartnell, plus 2 1st rnd picks for Shea Weber.
Hejduk goes to Washingont for 2 1st rnd picks.
Khabibulin goes to Dal for Huet and 3 1st rnd picks.

I know have 6 1st rnd picks for next year, hopefully at least two will be top 5, as need reinforcing. All trades get me under budget. We have 2 frward lines of players aged 30, and 2 under 24. In D, LIdstrom will last for a while, so Burns in for departed niedermayer, and Shea Weber, will replace Pronger for budget next year. Pronger hopefully can get us more picks. Detroit still look strong, so trade their 1st rnd pick for edmontons.

1-Rangers
2-Montreal
3-Clagry
4-Nashville
5-Tampa Bay

2004/2005 Season and Playoffs

Stlil expecting to dominate, but players are getting old.Linden is really starting to slow down, Havlat and Semin, join him on 4th line. Markov is now my number 1 rated defencmen. I am over the cap i think for next year, Linden will have to go. Will trade him at some point. Rangers dominate, but goals drop to under 500, as age starts to hit us. Markov gets 100 points though. Lemieux gets 175 to win, heatley latest player to win the Maurice Richard Trophy. All our draft picks are mid table bar Dallas who are 29th! Detroit finally don't make playoffs, i coudl finally get their top 5 picks in the next couple of years! I do have 10th pick as well thanks to NJ. Last 3 seasons, lge average for gls is a 7.66, Was 8.5 in the 80's, and 8 in the 90's.

PLAYOFFS
Rangers ease through to conference final vs Capitals, Canucks Predators is a breath of fresh air. Washingont put up a fight, winning 2 games at MSG to lead 3-2! Pretdators Canucks ties at 2. I switch up lines Experience at D, Kovalchuk-Yashin up top. Modano on the second line. Washingont have Hejduk and Bergeron. Hejduk transforming this team from basement to contendors! That trade hurt, but couldn't afford to keep Hejduk, no matter who i traded him to for a 1st would have turned into a contendor. Game 6 is a 7-3 win for us! Win game 7 5-1, New lines working well for players demoted! Modano second line taking the majority of the points!

Stanley Cup FInal: Predators vs Rangres, a new name! Nashville among the favourites this year, Vokoun/.Nabokov, double headed monster in goal, with Chara in front of them. Sturm Sakic Bertuzzi, McDonald Vermetter and Sharp make a all 4* top 6.

Game1. 2-1 victory for the Rangers. Brad Richards assisting on both.
Game2: 5-4 victory for the Rangers. Palffy 2 goals
Game3: 4-3 victory for the Predators, OT winner from Craig Adams!
Game4: 5-0 victory for the Rangers Modano 3 assists(leads all players)
Game5: 4-3 and the Stanley Cup for the Rangers Vishovsky with the 4-2 goal to effectively ice it.

Hart: Lemieux
Conn Smythe:Modano
Calder: Malkin(CBJ)
Norris:Markov
Vezina: mILLER (CHI)
