I love that the National League is considered so much better than the American League but it's in the NL that a wild card team is about to sweep the #1 seed while in the AL the #1 and #2 seed could go 7 games.

The Dodgers were not a wild card team.

Right, the Dodgers were the division winners. They "played in" the wild card round but, were not a wild card team.

Big Dumper just earned his entire salary with one home run! Of course, I'm not paying him, so I can afford to be so cavalier.

Too bad we have to go back to Toronto, but that's not exactly a bad thing this series I guess.

Mookie Betts: "We're kind of like the Bulls and (Ohtani) is Michael Jordan."
If the Mariners make the series they'll definatley use that quote to motivate them, not that they need motivation. Not very modest at all, and it's easy to be the Bulls when you spend $2.5 to every dollar the opponent spends on salaries. |

Don't get why the M's are (-130/+110) underdogs in Game 6. Yeah I get Toronto is at home but they are throwing a rookie pitcher and the Mariners won both previous games in Toronto(not really a home field advantage). If I am a better I definately take the underdog Mariners.

Maybe, but I think the Mariners don't want a game 7 after going 5 against Detroit.

I wonder if Big Dumper is wistful, watching the World Series and wishing that he was in L.A. at this moment, and then his TV commercial pops up.

He's probably playing MLB The Show as himself and hitting 80 HR a season.

Judge was definitely the better overall player, but this could not look worse for the MLB to do. Especially at a time where people are questioning if baseball should be as big-market heavy as it is.

I would not say Judge is "definately" the better player. Better WAR? Yes. But Raliegh was on a division winner on a team with a far more precarious payroll position, was the only catcher ever to hit 60 HR in a season, and played in one of the most pitcher friendly parks compared to a hitter friendly park.
