Yes…for the time being (until things change too much over time) I’d say schedules are a problem…particularly in leagues that you need to expand or re-align for realism purposes.

I have not yet purchased OOTP24. I'm most likely going to get it later this year, but have not as of now. With regards to the international leagues, while it's true that most OOTP customers select MLB and do not select most, if any, of the international or independent leagues, from a historical standpoint I can understand the disappointment. Also, there are players from said leagues who get posted each offseason who sign with MLB teams. When Tomoyuki Sugano morphs into Nigel Carrothers, I think most people can understand the frustration many OOTP gamers have.

It's nothing personal. And, for the record, I have no personal grudge or animosity towards anyone with OOTP or Com2US. To paraphrase Michael Corleone from "The Godfather": it's not personal, it's strictly business.

Once he joins the MLBPA they can use his real name, but not his foreign stats. I would think.

Is there any way to "export" those other foreign leagues/structures from OOTP23 and "import" to a modern save in OOTP24? I'd be largely fine with losing the Jpn league if I could still have a save in OOTP24 with the rest of the world in it.

I didn't notice any structures, settings, etc. getting messed up when I imported, but I'll have to take another look when I get home tonight. Also, you can keep the other league and all its players with a little extra effort.

Would you happen to know the steps to exporting leagues/structures from one save and importing them into another? I've never done anything like that. I typically play modern MLB saves but also add foreign leagues I want. I'd love to be able to export certain leagues from OOTP23 and import into OOTP24 once I start a modern MLB save there. Players in foreign leagues are irrelevant to me, I just want the structures there so they exist and generate players in the future.

What you will likely need to do, is to load the leagues in 23 and then import them into 24. From there, you could save them as templates and then apply them as you wish to whatever base league you have created.

I appreciate it. Seems to have largely worked outside of the logos and stuff didn't auto-load.

yes, you will need to re-load those. Just setup the database to the folder where your logos are and then re-import them all.

Hopefully someone will provide these via a mod. I just hope they do each league separate rather then part of an MLB save.

What PSU told you is correct. I should've mentioned I had a few leagues load without logos, but that was an easy fix.

Are we allowed to share mods of international leagues on here outside of the one that shall not be named?

Has there been any mention what is and what isn't allowed regarding the International leagues?

I wouldn't recommend sharing anything that involves the real-life Japanese professional league whether that is league name, team names, or player names. I believe that is pretty clear based on the actions that were taken by the OOTP team regarding that league.

I do not see any reason at this point that mods from any other league would cause an issue.

I agree, which is why I haven't shared anything. I just want more clarification on what is and isn't allowed as far as mods are concerned.

I never updated my OOTP23 passed 9.108 (I think?), so I didn't experience what the Steam users did and tried to avoid those threads at all costs. So I'm not intimately familiar with what the so-called scrambler was scrambling and how/why (other than the original post from Markus).

This is something I've been concerned about since the original announcement of the removal of the league in question. I have a league that is entirely fictional (i.e., no problematic league or team names) but uses real players from throughout the world, including several dozen players from said league (as well as others that I believe were removed from v24, such as China and Mexico), both historical and current. I was too scared to download the post-announcement updates for fear that the player names would get scrambled. Will I be safe, or am I stuck using v23 for the foreseeable future?

Agree. There are ways to get import the player names and histories, but I don't feel comfortable posting those until I understand the rules better regarding this stuff.
