Like many I want more Customization in Custom Game.
- As above the ability to add or remove leagues - The Ability to move teams from one league to another with players intact - I'd love to do the 6 team NHL WHA merger with Cincinnati and Houston and be able to remove them with all their players - Slower scrolling through game day results, when I've set league to auto-play - particularly in the playoffs - if I choose to sim to the end of the season, I'd love to be able to see the playoff results and standing without having to stop and check at each day |

Its prob already been asked for BUT
1. I want player cards like OTTP has. 2. Unlimited extra league like OTTP has. 3. a easier way to pick home or road uniforms. and also loading uniforms should be like OTTP. Im not understanding why since the baseball game has it it cant be incorperated in the hockey game. cant the code be piggy backed into the hokcey game |

I mentioned elsewhere in this thread about being able to preview the expansion draft pool, and adjust the draft criteria if necessary.
Similarly it would be useful to be able to preview the waiver or intraleague drafts in advance to see which players are likely to be exposed/available. It's often not clear which of your players are even waiver eligible, and since the protection lists are only submitted the day before the draft, there is no time to make trades to avoid losing players for nothing. It's unlikely a GM would be that unprepared for an upcoming draft! |

My only wish for FHM8 is improved and more granular development. I'd settle for players not using their development points on fighting or defensemen developing faceoffs, but a system where you can actually give a player specific areas to improve in would be a huge addition.
Right now 8-10 years down the line the types of players in the league don't really stand up to examination, most are generic or have weird combinations of best roles (for example rushing defenseman and crease clearing) - I should be able to take a good young playmaker and try to develop him into a great playmaker rather than just leaving it up to chance.

I would like to see an API for the simulation engine. Would make sim testing for sim leagues so much easier if I could just run save files up to a date and look at the resulting files, without having to run through the graphical interface.

I'd love an option to LOCK the icetime of lines, maybe as a GM option?
The LINEUPS gives us a way to force the "assistant/simulations" to use the players we want on the lines we want, but there's no way to force the icetimes, it always defaults back to 21-18-13-8. -I would like to see more media on trade rumours, trade bait list etc to add realism
-More work on attributes to be more accurate. Or option to save my own edited attributes so i dont have to make it all over again if i want to start new save. Needs to be fixed list: -AI doesnt sign a best prospects. For example Newhook played in university until he was 22 or something. Colorado had a cap space to sign him and he was their 3rd best LW. This happens a lot. Not just with a Newhook. -It seems you cant go over 22-23 minutes of playing time with your top Dman. Doesnt matter how you change playing times. -Beauvillier played 60+ points season 20-21 and decided to sign 4 years and 1m per season with some random NL team??? " ![]() |

I would like to get asst gm or whoever feedback to trades I propose for just draft picks, you don't get anything unless you offer up a player. It makes me grab a bunch of low-star players from waivers so I can get feedback when trying to trade my picks for a player.

- I'd love to see players put more emphasis on they're decisions such as free agency or resigning based on personal geography. (hometown or near birth place)
- Playoff games need to be more intense, and more engaged. (Hits, blocks) - Player's will demand or ask for a trade, depending on how you run your franchise. Factors could include: Chemistry players, overall team depth, teams record etc.. * If your a contending team such as the Tampa Bay Lightning and decide to trade half of your team because your a drafting wizard, they're should be punishing consequences in certain players wanting "out" * Adding the ability to disable this as well. - The ability to encourage more fighting from certain individual players rather then by "chance" - Using various aggressive tactics that lead to more injuries, one being the team applying the aggressiveness and the receiving team being worn down immensely - Controversial/Selfish players causing a disturbance on the team in news items or game altercations that lead into dealing with the media via news. * Teams may be forced to sit certain players out as a form of punishment that could dip not only the team morale but various individual players too. * Impact players like Evander Kane can boost your offense ten-fold, but YOU as a GM , have the unpleasant task of handling the possible problems these players bring to your organization, & how long can you deal with it if it becomes .. "Problematic" - Waiver screen pops up whenever any players are added (ability to turn off waiver screen popup's) - Scouting reports need more depth and context especially to summarize the difference between players and will help GM's using extremely detailed reports. - Language barriers need more work. Too many isolated players that stay unhappy because they can't speak or form "basic" English after multiple seasons. I feel the game needs more challenges and real problems to address. The one issue I see in the game is that it gets repetitive and boring at times, and adding these "roadblocks", a la Buffalo in real life, could take this game to the next level. More options for playoff formats. (Ideally, something that fits "perfectly" if you realign the NHL into 4 divisions per conference, so the top 2 per division qualifies, then 1A v 2B, 1B v 2A, 3A v 4B and 4A v 3B in the first round, then - if possible - the next season its A v C and B v D, then A v D and B v C, so the divisions "rotate" each year regarding who they play in the first rounds.)

I love how the Game Sims as it. FHM7 seems to give realistic results when you sim the game. I also love how far the game has come with graphics. The new 2D graphics engine is good, some room for improvement but totally workable as it stands now. The ability for custom rink surfaces and adding the player and goalie avatars are also great!
I would love to now see development put into the Front Office side of the game. Items like the ability to: 1)set team ticket prices 2)define the average attendance for a league (like in OOTP) 3)define broadcast rights dollar for a league and team 4)define the high and low end of how much a player or coach could make (again like in OOTP) For the non-front office additions, more options for custom game players. I would love the ability to add a new league to my game on July 1. I would either love the ability to add custom leagues to the current game, or have more league templates in the custom game (at least adding the ECHL to the custom league).
