Do you need any assistance for expansion or new teams?

Not at this time.... I do have a timeline in place (at least for now) that will roughly follow along with real life expansions.
The plan is to only add "real" teams that currently exist in MLB. My tentative idea is to expand in 1961, 1971, 1986 and 2001. I will keep the current two division per league format all the way until 2001, but playoffs will expand in 1986. I am using 1984 stats as my baseline... I plan on re-loading that year every year and adjusting strategy as needed to fit my era. |

Sunday, August 1, 1954 Cumulative Trade Log Activity picked up heading to the deadline, but no blockbuster deals by name, although the Yankees did pick up a quality arm. |

The real can be boring sometimes, this is a fictional history after all.

I have often thought of Nashville as a potential expansion option and none of my plans have been put in stone, so I am always open to ideas / thoughts! |

Louisville is a blooming option, Montreal, Toronto, Houston, Tampa, LA, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Kansas City, Minnesota, Charlotte, Memphis, Atlanta, a bunch of options for the near future.

Monday, August 16, 1954 Standings & News Another No-Hitter! Dodger legend Pee Wee Reese is hit with a career ending injury! Yankees are still dealing with the temporary loss of Mickey Mantle due to injury. Some first time division races are tightening. |

Keep the Senators in the league, things will be interesting if Montreal enters the league if the Senators stay for the entire time.

Monday, August 23, 1954 Standings & News Red Sox are surging and the Yankees are trying to get their feet back underneath themselves. Dodgers are struggling with injuries down the stretch, but can the Phils settle in enough to play solid ball down the stretch? Last edited by Tribe1450; 01-30-2021 at 10:12 AM. |

Wednesday, September 1, 1954 Standings & News & Notes Final stretch drive is underway, with Eastern Division titles in both leagues still up for grabs. Yankees are staggering with injuries, but are hoping their otherwise strong offense and pitching can carry them through to the finish line. The Red Sox have stumbled lately and must make a move in the next week in order to consider dethroning the champs. The Dodgers continue to struggle with injuries, but they had a strong showing during the last week. The Phillies are also surging and are hoping that the incredible season of Smoky Burgess can help pull them to the finish line. The Braves and Indians have all but locked up their Western Division crowns and will now concentrate on staying healthy down the stretch in preparation for the first ever League Championship Series. Monday, September 13, 1954 Standings & News & Notes Indians and Braves clinch their Western Division titles. Eddie Mathews is a beast this year! Yankees continues to slug their way to their first ever Eastern Division title, although they lost Yogi Berra to a broken wrist last week. The Dodgers continue to hold on to a slim lead in the Eastern Division, but don't look now, here comes the Say Hey Kid and the Giants closing fast. |

Monday, September 20, 1954 Standings & News & Notes Division titles are wrapping up and the new expanded playoff formats are being scrutinized by those who hate change of any kind. The Yankees will be forced to go through one more team if they want to repeat for a 6th straight championship. The Athletics are limping to the finish line with one of the worst records in league history. The newly created amateur draft will allow them to pick the highest rated incoming rookie in December, but we will learn just how good their scouting and front office has become - or not. Home field advantage in all playoff rounds are determined by regular season won - loss records, so teams still may feel it necessary to play some of their starters during the last week of the season. Another no-hitter occurred last week as well. |

Monday, September 27, 1954 Standings & News The playoffs are upon us. For the first time in league history, separate league championship series will be conducted to determine the pennant winners this year. Home field advantage for each series is being determined by the regular season won-loss records of the qualifying teams. The Yankees surged in the final week of the season to create a tie with the Indians regarding their regular season won-loss records. The league then determined Cleveland would receive the home field advantage because of their 12-10 regular season record against the Yanks. As the regular season comes to a close, there are a number of big name veteran players who will be eligible to test the free agent market. The new financial situation in the league has been met with much skepticism by many, but others are excited about the possibility of their team being able to pursue a star player.
