He's right, it's what I've done all three years. I haven't put a dime into this game, rather I work the auction house. I find cards that are about to sell for a fraction of their AT avg and L7 sales, then flip them. It's admittedly a lot of work and takes patience, but it's easily doable.

Note, I'm not including myself as one of those (good FTP player or card flipper). I enjoy playing the game packs only/collection missions (as in, I'll target a collection mission once I pull a big value piece of it). Still, at the beginning of the PTXX cycle I did some card-flipping and was able to quickly generate PP by doing so without spending too much time trawling the AH.

That seems like a lot of work, but with three teams, and the third one the red headed step child, I may try to work the AH that way . Thanks,
It sure beats being a whale. LOL. Cheaper too.

What I do is playing tournaments and hopefully earning packs as a reward. Flipping cards with a 10% tax is another way, but (to me) too time consuming. |

In my starter packs, one of the two gold packs, pulled Perfect 100 Ozzie Smith SS. This was on the monday after the launch. Not knowing how to price it, put it up for 500k for 12 hours. It was purchased within an hour. net 450k
Sadly, I didn't track all the cards, but can report a few things, I have 50k left but had to have pulled at least 450 packs: 3 perfects - all live - Trout, Verlander, Cole 23 Jesse Hahn iron cards Did not complete the full live set. Only 6 or 7 teams completed simply pulling cards. I'll have to come back to update this, I can't log in to that team to see how many diamonds/golds. Off top of head the best non live diamond pulls were 96 Jack Stivetts, 91or92 Gary Sheffield, 93 Tommy John (who sucks) and 91 Ricky Henderson (sub .200 hitter but BB so crazy he's almost .400 obp). by the looks of the auction house, I wasn't the only person missing many Dodgers/Yankees/Mets live guys. random: 6 Mike Clevenger golds, 4 Omar Nevarez golds, 3 Diamond Lucas Gulioto

just lucky
I'm reading all this and it all makes sense. The law of averages play out. But i have to admit, i must have pleased the baseball (or OOTP) gods recently. I bought the 3k packs early on to get some gold cards, and have drop some cash to pick up specific players. It wasn't until today that i decided to buy 5 1k packs. In the last one, i picked up this.
It was so much fun to open, a few hours later i decided to buy another five 1K packs. I snagged a Jake DeGrom 100 Live card in those. I think i'll stop now.

I have yet to pull a perfect and I believe I'm well over 1,000 cards. I have had some decent fortune with diamonds though. I believe I'm over the 1/200 allotment. E diaz, baez, McCormick, doak, story, sid Fernandez, the Braves 2b who stinks, a Whitaker all off the top of my head.
