In looking back at my own teams personal records I noticed what a wonderful season Guerrero had for me back in 2024. Keep in mind that the Zorros success has been the pitching and not the hitting. I build my team on pitching so his numbers in 2024 is even more impressive. He had 202 hits, 27 homers, 122 rbi and a .351 batting average. He carried us the whole season. He finished 2nd in the MVP race and in my opinion he should have won it. They gave the reward to Perfect Pedro. He has been my best hitter over the years. He seems to come through year after year at the right moments while Cobb and Yes even The Babe fail. He has definitely been my best clutch player. 😁

Is there anyway to show me the 1965 Mays and the 1959 Mays?

I am so surprised. I could not get him to succeed at third and he failed for me at first after 3-4 seasons of training.
It did not matter when....he always managed to get very low stats across.
I think I had ended up replacing him for a season with Keith Hernandez (for defense) and he gave me much better stats.

Maybe I will give him another try.

I have been pretty happy with performance (minus my pitchers).
Replacing Ozzie Smith was my last move. Hopefully the extra defense and hitting will be enough to stay on the hunt of some of the top pitching teams.

Shame on you :-)

One of my favorite players and leaders on my team. The 92 Griffey has been a big surprise season after season.
Good luck.

I know , Isn’t it a bit weird how 1 player will be outstanding for somebody and that same player (Different Card But Same rating) will not play well for you. I would get a player and be excited and he would do nothing for me. Griffey was like that. I have seen him perform well for others and for me not so much. Like Guerrero has been for me but not for you. Btw Your Bonds is having a outstanding season for you. (So far) I am rooting for you to be a wild card team but that is a mistake. I always let my heart get in the way so I should be warned that you are always dangerous and I should be careful for what I wish for. 😁

I know, This could be a mistake but Griffey did nothing for me. (With his bat that is.) His fielding was tremendous and with my team that is very important because My pitching staff is my team.😁

Actually you are only 6 back for the Division lead and climbing.I am rooting big time that you catch Stone so I don’t have to meet you in the Wild Card Series.(If I hold on to top Record that is) the Stone has a very good team but you were 12 games back at one time so you are on the move.👍

Halladay pitched a marvelous game as we beat the Base Thieves 5-1 in the first game of a three game series. Guerrero helped with a homer to give us a 1-0 lead and Halladay went into the ninth only allowing 1 hit and no runs before tiring. Seymour hit in his 27 straight game. That is the longest hitting streak I have ever had. Game 2 will be Chandler vs Maddox.

On to the record chasing, Cravath is still stuck on 22 HR while Betts has raised his RBI total to 79. 😁

Zorros win second game 9-0. Final game will feature Greinke vs Greinke. Seymour kept his hitting streak going at 28 straight games. Zorros fine pitching staff just keeps rolling along. This might be one of the greatest 5 starters that this league has ever seen. If nothing else the Martinez, Schilling, And Hallady trio are hard to beat.

Barry Bonds walked into the Zorros office yesterday and said he would like the management to move the stadium to 1.100 for lefty homers next year. He said he and the Babe would like to go after that HR record. Bonds was informed by Zorro himself that Rocky Point is a team and not a individual statistic and the heart of Rocky Point is the pitching staff. If Bonds did not appreciate that he could be let go. No one is more important on this team. Not even Perfect Pedro. Bonds walked out of the office shaking his head.

Sisler steals 3 Base as the Base Thieves defeats Rocky Point 7-5 in the final game of their 3 game series. Gagne shut the door as he struck out Bonds with the bases loaded. One bright spot for Rocky Point was Seymour who hit in his 29th straight game. 😁

Ruth from the Yaks has now tied a struggling Cravath with his 22nd league leading home run. That record seems safe unless one of them can get hot. Betts still stuck on 79 RBI.

Well as my good friend George Harrison once told me ...”All good things must pass”. And Seymour’s 34 game hitting streak came to a end. He had a GREAT run....😁

Cravath and Ruth are still tied with 22 homers. It seems like a month since Cravath has hit one. Ruth’s record of 48 is safe. Betts still leads in RBI with 82. He has slowed down also. The Base Thieves and the Mountain Ducks are with in a half game of each other for that last Wild Card spot in the NC. In the AC The Magpies and the Doubledays are also with in a half game of each other for that AC Wild card spot.

Going into the All Star break the Zorro have a 13 and a half game lead thanks to winning 3 out of 4 from the Black Sox at home. The Seattle Base Thieves won 3 in a row to pull ahead by Pct points over the Black Sox for the top Wild Card spot. Also the fighting Saints have to be happy at 43-52 since at the start of the season they were thinking relegation. What I thought could be a record breaker by Cravath turned into a dud. He has not hit a homer in a month. Babe Ruth from the Yaks and Bruins are now tied for the home Run lead at 23 far behind the record of 48. Betts has also slowed down but still leads in the RBI race at 83. Now the teams get to rest some before the push to the finish...

Funny thing is I have a 1909 Cravath baseball card I'm bringing to to the card shop during Beer and Pizza Friday tomorrow to get sent off to PSA to get authenticated. This card actually lists him as the Minneapolis Millers, I think Boston sent him down and the tobacco company listed him as Millers on the card.
