That is my RF platoon. It is very good for me over the seasons. I have Mookie in left.

Good luck to all the playoff teams today until if/when you play me. I will still wish you lots of luck in our game... all bad.
![]() ![]() ![]() Seriously, I enjoyed playing with you all this season. I hope your next pack pull is a perfect!

After barely missing the playoffs, with my offense leading the league in HR and Ks (literally 1-2 more strikeouts per game than most teams) I'm selling off a good chunk of my offense in a semi-rebuild. No more high power, low Avoid K guys that struggled. Bye Mickey, Duke, Jimmie, and Vern. Going to focus on Contact and Avoid K to put more balls into play.

Wow...I can't believe I actually pulled off 2 wins back to back against Sun Dogs.
Now all I want for Christmas is one more win!!! I have three chances to get that third win and move on. |

In the three Perfect leagues that I have seen the 91 card, I have only seen him with ok stats: .265 AVG, 12 HR, 34 BB, 1.3 WAR I really need to find a way to calculate defensive stats into the overall projected formula to better gauge some players. I like Griffey....hard not to when you live on the west coast. |

I never owned the Sheffield card and it looks like I never saw him in a Perfect league either.
The results for Diamond and Gold are hit and miss. It looks like in one platoon situation, he still produced a 1.5 WAR so that seems promising if you can find a matching platoon that adds similar results. You may have to pray that these stats translate to Perfect league level. I am still stuck on the Gwynn card, it was so dominating in Diamond that I kept it for Perfect and it still produced great results. But I have a goal to focus on Stealing bases so it is very hard to find power+speed+good base running. I may be stuck with the 87 Gwynncard and use the 84 Tim Rains Sr in LF. Both have 85 Defense. Hopefully I see you in the mini-whale league so I can keep an eye on your experiments in the outfield. |

Your speed gives me a different problem than most teams trying to light my pitchers up. It will be fun and exciting I am sure.

There are few teams that I like...you have one of them.
It is not easy to find those 95/96 Greinke/Kershaw/Harvey cards. Same with your batters...great defense and I like the Molina catcher card. I hope we have a long series.... |

Great series so far tied at 1-1. I will not be able to check in on it again tonight regretfully. I love playing well managed teams with their own identity and you have one with the Base Stealers. Hopefully my catchers can continue to slow you down on the bases. I am enjoying it and think it will continue like the first two games.
Its been a great league everybody and I had fun even when I was 27-27 the first two months

You are missing out on a good series. Maybe you can check the forum on your phone.
You took game 3 (8-4) with a 9 inning game from Walter Johnson. My team fell apart after 3 innings (Blanton 96) and I had to send in 6 relievers trying to finish the game. Game 4 went the other way. BaseStealers won 9-3 with great pitching from Pedro Martinez (96) while your 96 Greinke gave up 6 runs in 7 innings. Clearly neither of the teams can decide what they want to do.....we each keep winning by 4+ Runs every other game. |

The Jaks win game 5 (7-3) and need just one more game to get the trophy.
Once again, a Jaks pitcher goes for 9 innings while Harvey gives up 5. Next up 96 Kershaw vs 95 Christy Mathewson..... Sadly, Base Stealers have 3 batters that are cold at the wrong time of the year. Last edited by joehart; 01-27-2019 at 10:33 PM. |
