You did not understand what I meant. In this scenario, the person would not bid 2000 but pay 2200. They would see 2200 as the reserve price and that is what they would start the bidding at. The only one who "sees" it as 2000 is the seller, since that is, for them, the meaningful part of the transaction.

I have thought about this, but if you sold a card for 26 PP instead of 25 PP, you'd be losing 1 PP by selling it for 1 PP more. The waive would have to be extended until you're not selling at a loss. Then, you'd actually make more PP if you sold it at 26 instead of 27, because 26 is protected but 27 would not be. That's a bit of a mess.

Sounds like a lot of time wasted to program different displays for the same auction just because people can't read what is on their screen.

I merely suggested this as another possibility, not as the 100% perfect solution.

Either way, the system we currently have allows players to **buy** cards at auction for the same amount as the quick-sell price. Players are selling the cards for less than the quick-sell price, which is something the devs have said in this thread they do not want.

Nope: then I would complain as soon as I find out the I do not get 100 for the silver Card, but 99 only and not 1000 for the Gold but 990 only and for the Diamond I get 3960 instead of 4000.

How big of a deal is this really?

How many cards sell on the auction house for their sell now price. Almost all commons and bronzes and many silvers won't even get a bid at their sell it now price.

When you move into Golds and above then most will be bidded up by users well beyond their default sell now cost.

I'm just wondering if this is all an argument about a situation (new users shooting themselves in the foot) that does not actually occur very often.

Well, I bought a Mookie for 21K (the seller made 18.9K instead of 20K) when there were about a dozen others on the AH. There are no bids on the most common cards unless the price is set artificially low, and sometimes not even then.

Jokes aside, I don't think the point about preventing inflation is valid for perfect team. Not enough people play the mode and/or purchase PP while the rate at which you can earn PP is too low to counter the tax. In fact, isn't the opposite happening?
Correct me if im wrong, the only new players that are being added are the weekly 6 suggested right? So there isn't really any reason (at least as far as I can tell) that the player prices have dropped other than less people playing/buying PP with $$$ than at launch and the 10% tax.
