As of this morning going into July your team is slumping a little winning 3 of its last 10 games and 5 back in the Wild Card race. I am pulling for you to make the Playoffs so you need to make a little run soon. I kinda like the streaky nature of this game. You always feel when times are a little tough that a run is right around the corner to get you back on top.

That's a good point about not overpaying if it helps your team. I'm also a big believer in it's worth it if you are having fun. You may call yourself a terrible businessman, but you do put together a great team. And to do what is best for your team and show restraint is commendable because that perfect Mays is nice!

Thanks, we can use all that help we need. I still haven't figured out to be certain teams, and three of our last four series are against those teams. Might have to spend some time today trying to come up with a plan. Today's an important day for our playoff hopes I think. I don't mind the streakiness either, knowing you can get hot and go on a little bit of a run is helpful.

After a four-game winning streak we are now in the midst of a five-game losing streak. The wild card is looking further and further out of reach by the day. We really need to make a run after the all-star break, or I think we're done for this year.

You won the last 2 games going into the All Star break. You are only 5 games back. Good luck the rest of the way. Tell Mattingly to have a players meeting to rally the group for the second half.

I'm going to have him get on that. We are doing dinner and a movie today, so I've turned the rains over to him to motivate in my absence.

Brought aboard Munson behind the plate, Syndergaard and Verlander to see if they can boost the rotation, and adjusted some platoons. So we'll see. I'd love to trim a couple games off the deficit in July.

At all-star break last year I was 10 under...post break went 16 over without major roster moves so I’m hoping I have a second half squad again...diamond level is tough, unless I get lucky and make playoffs I’m not sure I wanna make Perfect...

If we're around .500 it'll probably mean a promotion to fill out the next tier. I think that is what happened to my team since I was tied for 15th in the league at the end of the last season.

The diamond level is definitely tough, although it seems everyone is suffering a little bit. I know I had a much better record last year, but didn't stand a chance at getting the Wild Card. Most teams at least stand an outside chance, or would at least get in if they got hot.

I was wondering about promotion. It's been 16 teams, but the screen says 12. I thought it was wrong last year saying 12, but that could be remembering wrong.

In some ways it's probably best to not get promoted, but I like the challenge so hopefully we can get things going.

All 3 of my teams are alternating good/decent month - bad month. My bronze league team is leading its division by 4 1/2 so there is something good :-)

Cant catch a break. 2 pitchers had to get removed from the pen with 13+ era replaced one with a 12 era guy... Sale, Kershaw, Gibson all 5+ era. Catchers hitting .200, ozzie Smith with a -7+ zr, socks seybold hitting .213 with a .4 war

Couple minor changes today. At this point I'm just trying to get promoted to perfect and that's a long shot

At least we started the day with a nice comeback win. Hoping we can keep things going in August.

Lots of competitive races still. Looks like just the Central Division is wrapped up to me. Everything other division and the Wild Cards look like they are still in play. Should be an exciting day. Good luck all!

I think I bring you bad luck. I come on and you will have a 3 game win streak then I stay on and root for you and you lose 6 of the next 10. Since I have been on today you are 2-5. Perhaps I should root against you....

I definitely don't blame you - if I don't like how my team is playing I just wait a week. If I do I just wait a week. It's just a rollercoaster season. Maybe if you root against me every other week I'd be unstoppable.

I'm beginning to think it's just the competition at the higher level. It does seem like the top teams aren't as good record-wise, and the bad teams not as bad.

Yes, I've definitely enjoyed being in the same league with you. I like how you put together your team, and that you aren't satisfied. I'd rather be in a league with people like you and Orcin and struggle than a lesser league than dominate.
