One of our roaming scouts rang me 2 days ago saying they had possibly found the next big thing and we should jump on the chance to represent him straight away.
Once I had the details it turns out that the kid was from New York state instead of from the southern states like I wanted. This means I have had to shuffle things around a bit. I have decided to move Kelford Clark down to the Texas office for representation and have given this new lad to the East Coast office. The East Coast went into overdrive as soon as they saw the bio on the player and made sure he signed a contract with us for representation. The player himself is Bart Snyder and he is a big power house of a player from Olean in New York. If he applies himself he could be the next superstar of the MLB as he has all the tools to be a big league hitter. Bart Snyder Scouting report Bart Snyder Card |

The Mexican League has started spring training for the year today.
This means that Juan Campos is back into action. He has made the 60 man Spring Training squad for the Mexico Diablos Rojos so hopefully he will get some playing time that will see him make the main squad this year. We also managed to renew his contract for another year with a $10,000 a year salary which will go through until the end of 2019. Here is his card. The Cuban League has reached the play-offs but Luis Elizondo will not figure in them as he has been dropped back to the reserve roster of the Pinar Del Rio Vegueros after his bad month in January. The Major League baseball spring training has arrived. Our players are at back at their clubs for the start of the year.
Kelford Clark has made the Detroit 60 man training squad. There is a surprise as Billy Edwards makes the Colorado Rockies 60 man squad. Donnie Green and Dan Hurt continue to remain with the Philidelphia GCL rookie teams. Gabriel Eskola continues his spring training with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. The Korean Baseball League has also gone into pre season work outs with In-Su Chu back at work. Kelford Clark Card Billy Edwards Card Donnie Green Card Dan Hurt Card Gabriel Eskola Card |

The Cuban play offs continue and while Luis Elizondo made the Pinar Del Rio Vegueros play off roster he is yet to see any playing time in the games being played.
The Japanese clubs have returned to spring training and our 2 players have had mixed fortunes. Shiroma Hisato has made the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles main training squad. Nishikiri Shoda is with the Seibu (Ni-Gun) Lions to start the year as he doesn't make the main squad of the Saitama Siebu Lions. Shiroma Hisato Card Nishikiri Shoda Card |

There was some tough news for Billy Edwards today. He picked up an injury while in spring training with the Rockies. He has been sidelined for 4 weeks with chronic back pain. This will see him miss the rest of the spring training period and could hurt his chances of making the main squad come opening day.

The Cuban League has finished its season.
The player we have in Cuba, Luis Elizonda, had an up and down season and finished with very little game time to his name. He played a total of 17 games with 16 starts for a batting average of .211. Here is his end of season card Cuba Final Standings Cuba Play offs |

The Mexican League has completed its spring training and is now at the opening day.
Juan Campos, our Mexican player, has made the 30 man squad of the Mexico Diablos Rojos. He is slated to start the year as the designated hitter. His spring training stats show he played in 29 games with 19 starts. He batted for an average of .250. Hopefully he can have a better year this year than last. |

The short 2 week Korean Spring Training program has finished.
In-Su Chu, our Korean prospect, managed to get some playing time during this spring training with the KT Wiz. He played in 11 games with 8 starts for a batting average of .333. This has earned him a spot on the KT Wiz roster. He is slated to be the opening day starter at Third Base and lead off hitter. |

The new MLB season has come round and all of our players have now found out where they will currently be playing.
Kelford Clark is the one that the scouts have a big eye on. He is rated the number 1 prospect in the league and had some playing time with the Detroit Tigers in spring training. The Tigers ultimately decided he wasn't ready for the big time yet and have sent him back to the Lakeland Flying Tigers of the Florida State League. His spring training with the Tigers saw him pitch in 7 games as a reliever with 2 saves and 1 win to his name. Billy Edwards was the other player to make it to the MLB training camp with the Colorado Rockies. His spring training was cut short when he injured his back. He saw action in 8 games with 1 starts before the injury. This injury does not seem to have hurt him to much team position wise as he is on the Colorado Rockies 40 man squad. It will be interesting to see where they put him once he returns from injury. Gabriel Eskola, Dan Hurt and Donnie Green did not get any big league spring training time and are listed at the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, Philadelphia GCL East and Philadelphia GCL West teams at the moment. |

The Japanese Baseball League is back and it has seen both our prospects stay where they were
Nishikiri Shoda remains in the Ni Gun league with the Seibu Lions. He has had 11 starts from the beginning of their season so far and is playing well. He is ranked the number 3 prospect in the Japanese league system. Shiroma Hisato has stayed with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles after getting 3 games as a relief pitcher in spring training. He is listed as a relief pitcher for the team and hopefully he can get some good innings under his belt in his first season. He is ranked the number 1 prospect in the Japanese League. |

Billy Edwards has returned from injury and, while he remains on the Colorado 40 man squad, he has been sent to the Albuquerque Isotopes to get some playing time.

It has been a steady month for some of our players while others continue to wait for their seasons to start.
Dan Hurt, Donnie Green and Gabriel Eskola have not played yet as they remain with their respective rookie or lower A teams. Bart Snyder spent time at some draft training camps trying to impress the scouts of the MLB teams before this years MLB draft. Luis Elizondo is currently in the Cuban off season but remains with the Pinar Del Rio Vegueros. There is no news yet from the Cuban office over what his 2019 contract will be. Kelford Clark has had an excellent start to the season as he pitched 7 games for the Lakeland Tigers. He had a record of 4-1 over those games with an ERA of 3.26 and 44 strike outs. The Detroit Tigers were very impressed and have moved him up to the AA Erie Seawolves for the start of May. Billy Edwards has been enjoying his time in AAA with the Albuquerque Isotopes. His seems fully recovered from his injury as he played in 18 games, all of them as a starter, and has a batting average of .258 so far. He also hit 2 home runs. Edwards was awarded the standard Rookie MLB contract worth $545,000 a year for being on the 40 man roster and injured reserve list which gave him 6 days major league time. Shiroma Hisato continues to be in the bullpen for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. He pitched in 4 games during the month. His 11 innings saw him have an ERA of 4.09 with 6 strike outs. Nishikiri Shoda did not have quite as good a month. He remains in the Ni-gun league with the Seibu Lions. He started 20 games for them and hit for an average of .177. He did get 2 home runs. In-Su Chu had a solid month for the KT Wiz in the Korean league. He played in 22 games, all of them as a starter. He hit for .284 during the month with 3 home runs. This work was enough to see him voted the Korean Rookie of the month for April. Juan Campos continues to have a tough time of it in the Mexican League. He played 21 games with 20 starts but could only hit for .184 during the month. He did pick up 3 home runs. He is still young so has a long way to go yet. I am sure we will have more openings in the Future as players progress or fail and have to be let go by the Agency. Keep looking out for the adverts for players when they come up.

There was big news for Kelford Clark today.
No sooner was he moved to the AA Erie Seawolves than he was on the move again. This time to the big show as the Detroit Tigers made the call to bring him into their starting rotation in place of Grayson Long who they sent to the AAA Toldeo Mud Hens. This earned him the standard rookie contract worth $545,000 so we had very little to do apart from agreeing the side terms of the deal. |

The MLB First Year player draft was out today and Bart Snyder was listed in the draft list as expected. He was listed as the 4th highest rated player in the draft. Hopefully that will mean a high draft slot and a strong position for us to negotiate his signing bonus from.
