The oldest pitcher in MLB history to win a game and the oldest MLB player to record a run batted in in MLB history ... and yes, the all-time leader in HR's allowed - ageless Jamie Moyer

Will Neris start the year as the closer, and stay in that role all year? Looking forward to playing it out in OOTP19!

Ron Roenicke was on the Dodgers when they won it all in 1981. That's how I first knew him. He also serves as an object lesson to all of us OOTP players:
Drafted in the 7th round in 1974 by the A's, he didn't sign.
Drafted in the 29th round of the 1975 draft by the Giants, he didn't sign.
Drafted in the January third round in 1976 by the Tigers, he didn't sign.
Drafted in the June 2nd round in 1976 by the Braves, he didn't sign.
Drafted in the first round in 1977 by the Dodgers, he finally signed.

He went on to rack up 1294 plate appearances for 8 teams over 8 years with 3 WAR. Sure, he went on to be a coach and manager, but sometimes those high Intelligence hard to sign guys just aren't worth it.

Larry Dierker has done it all for the Astros... pitched, managed, and broadcasted in the booth. Now, he ushers in day 49 of the countdown.

There were a few years where we weren't allowed to mention this guy's name at family gatherings. Just look up games 5 and 6 of the 1985 NLCS. Brutal. Sure, sometimes you get beat when a famously light-hitting shortstop hits a walk-off. ("Go crazy, folks!") Happens to everyone. But, and I fully admit that this is Tommy Lasorda's call, pitching to Jack Clark with an open base and the game on the line?!

Two consecutive walk-off HR losses to get booted from the playoffs by THE SAME PITCHER! That's the kind of thing that gets your name banished from my dad's house.

Edit: Clark's wasn't a walkoff. Just felt like it.
