Will likely be Sunday before I can update again, maybe sooner.
And I'll discuss the 2019 season in more detail when I do. |

A few quick notes though.
Python led the league in WAR, K/9, K, and IP and set franchise records in several stats, including his 21-6 record and sub 3 ERA. He is a beast in Colorado. Welch led the NL with the most walks, 115 Lage led the AL with 45 HR Kyle Sheldon and Tommy Keeran are way overdue to be starting in the big leagues, both should be there in 2020. |

Doesn't look like that promotion straight from rookie ball to the big leagues really paid off for the Reds :/

It's really weird how nobody is really spending any time in AA or AAA. Almost everyone is skipping both levels.

BART SNYDER TRADED TO THE REDS!!!!!!!!!!
Snyder, along with fellow prospects (SP) Hans Crouse, (SP) Brandon Birdsell, (1B) Pavin Smith, and (SP) Cole Sands for (1B) Joey Votto 80/80 and (3B) Alex Blandino 52/57 Votto is 36 and is owed $100,000,000 over the next four seasons with a club option for another $20,000,000 for the 2024 season. The Phillies are coming off a 93-69 season, but lack a good first basemen (Justin Turner filled the spot for 2019 on a one year contract but didn't do much for them) really slowed their wins down. Blandino will be a utility 2B/SS/3B for the Phillies and help all over the diamond. For the Reds, this is an incredible situation. Votto is starting to regress and is owed a significant amount of money. And the Reds only won 54 games last season, so they need the prospects. For Snyder, this is the best deal he could get. He was blocked my Franco in Philly and the Reds don't have a third basemen worth anything outside of D.J. Peterson who will likely play first any way now that Votto is gone. He should be able to start the season in the big leagues 90 feet from Max Williams. |

TOMMY KEERAN ALSO TRADED!!!!
He has been traded to the Orioles for Jonathan Schoop The Orioles are in a rebuilding mode and lack any good outfielders on their team or really in their system. Keeran will likely be on the OD roster. Schoop is owed $80,800,000 over the next four seasons and has carried 15 WAR over the last three seasons as he enters his age 28 season. The O's are devoid of talent except for Manny Machado who has 9 years left on his current contract that he signed the year prior and is owed $357.50 million still. Both of these trades will likely help our prospects reach the big leagues sooner, but they both are going to worse organizations in terms of ability to win in the next few years. Both trades made good sense in the OOTP universe and will help all four organizations. |

Some League Information:
Top 5 Farm Systems: Mariners Red Sox Dodgers Reds Rays O's are 10th Snyder is considered the top prospect in baseball Keeran is considered the second best Crouse, in that Snyder trade was considered the 51st 5 Highest Paid Players for 2020: 1. Clayton Kershaw - $36.5M (LAD) 2. Stephen Strasburg - $36.5M (PIT) 3. Max Scherzer - $35M (WAS) 4. Mike Trout - $33.25M (LAA) 5. Zach Greinke and David Price - $32M (ARZ) and (BOS) Machado's contract is backloaded, and Bryce Harper only signed a 6 year deal that is backloaded and too team friendly (6/185.7). Compare that to Machado's deal. |
