I started an MLB 1994 league, and historical minors looks to be really well implemented. Lots of busts I haven't thought about in 20 years; the high-K sluggers who never made it have ratings that reflect it.

I think this is because neutralized stats are only applicable to major league seasons. Here's an example (I just happened to look at the PCL first, as I want to play with the Portland Beavers): Herman Pillette from the Mission Reds in 1932. He pitched in the majors in 1917, and again from 1922-24. He has neutralized stats from 1917-1924, including the gap years. After his major league tenure, he went to the minors from 1925 through 1945. For those years, he has ONLY real stats. I'm going to create the same 1932 game now with real stats and see what I get. Just wanted to put this out there for anyone else interested in historical minors, which is the GREATEST addition to the game yet, IMHO. Thanks all.
I was worried about this as we headed toward release. If this is because a neutralized stats database for minor leaguers isn't available I hope some of the brilliant minds in the OOTP community can remedy that situation as soon as possible.

I found another great screen!!! This helps clarify the team chemistry and morale issues that people brought up least year. There is also a sample lineup screen which would be useful in the hiring process to see what lineup and rotation your next potential manager might use

I just saw my infielders toss the ball around in 3D view while a strikeout victim slowly plodded back to the dugout. That made me smile.

Tougher Trading AI than OOTP16

The OOTP16 AI made trading much easier as long as I was willing to give up top prospects. I have found OOTP17 to be much tougher.

After I said this my 1999 historical finished loading. Pitchers have reasonable stamina ratings that I've seen poking around.

Great, I found out, especially in my ARI dynasty. that in OOTP 16 I pretty much could get a bargain every time I wanted to.

Really really cool feature. As well as the ability to mass extend coaches in the coaching screen. Again, small but excellent additions.

Not much time with the game but one thing that stuck out to me was the GM/Manager evaluation preference and how it adjusts with the AI evaluation settings. Even with custom settings not every manager/gm will have the same preference which is cool and I can only guess that the same goes for trading preferences.

Yes, this is awesome. The only thing better would be a little Frank Drebin pawn punching him out.

Can we just make Frank Drebin pawns a thing in future versions?

Does anything happen visually when a pitching change is made?

Last two years

Last ten years

All

extremely minor, it just struck me there should be a couple of more options here. At least maybe a five year option. Again, like I said very minor.

Is there a way to disable the play by play in the "play the game mode?" With the addition of the 3D Players the play by play is somewhat unnecessary and redundant.
