OMG actually I just checked the game and realized he was actually given a 5-year contract extension earlier in the year. That was something I hadn't noticed. My bad. So he's under contract for years to come

That makes sense. Did you edit him at all or was all his ratings straight out of the draft without your adjustments?

No I just left his ratings alone after the draft

Yes before the draft I found a random player, changed his name and altered his potential ratings a bit to what I showed at the beginning of the dynasty.

Got it. Going to try it next draft in a current league I'm running. Might be your guys son or brother. Or some movie actor from the past. I'm thinking Frank Sinatra.

I think I will. I'm currently running a league as Seattle and it's 2022. Next draft. Maybe a power hitting Shortstop also. Humphrey Bogart. I'll make sure they're on different teams and not Seattle.

At the close of the 2023 season Matt Martini finished with a record of 17-10 and had an ERA of 3.26. The Blue Jays also picked up their game going 86-76 on the year. Unfortunately this record once again won't qualify them for the postseason.

He is in his prime right now. Toronto could make a good run the next few years.

We are now half way through 2024. Matt Martini is in his prime and still cooking. He has stared the year 10-4 with a 2.85 ERA en route to his 3rd All-Star appearance. The Blue Jays are doing well and hope to make the playoffs this year fit the first time in Matt Martini's career.
