Glad I didn't spend an evening watching last night's meltdown. Checking the score on my phone throughout the evening was bad enough. Shake off the cobwebs already, dudes!

Great win today in a game that was hard fought. It's easy to look at this weekend as a failure but overall a 6-4 road trip is not bad, not bad at all.

Well the Seattle series was a big steaming pile, except for the fact that Pomeranz pitched awesome and needs to be the 4/5 starter in this rotation going forward. At least the rest of the division is el stinko and we hold a 2 game lead going into the weekend. Sad that my signature hasn't been touched in like 6 years and its still extremely relevant.

Yeah, I was relieved we got one game and didn't end up in second place after it was all said and done, but that was a whole lotta yuck.
And yes, Pomeranz for the rotation, please. I don't care if he replaces Straily or Milone. |

When both Parker and Griffin went down, I knew the 5th person in the rotation would be iffy at best. Why not give Pomeranz a shot?

A?s put Ryan Cook on DL, send Dan Straily to Sacramento - Oakland Athletics : The Drumbeat Straily to AAA and presumably Pomeranz gets his rotation spot since they pitched the same day. Cook to the DL is also not surprising. We get a couple fresh arms for the bullpen. |

No worries. We expect that from Giants fans, we've been getting that all of our lives.

Dola, except for three years in the late 80s - early 90s.

Amazing series. Two blowouts and a come from behind walkoff. Even when they got dominated by a starter on Saturday they still came from behind to get it done.
If you notice this season, when the A's get down, they don't stay down for a long. The Mariners series was rough, and then they come back right away and sweep a good team. Hopefully they keep that going, with no prolonged losing streaks. |

Athletics To Acquire Kyle Blanks From Padres ? MLB Trade Rumors
Sounds like Daric Barton's time in Oakland is done for now. He'll probably clear waivers though so we'll see him again sometime. He's the A's cockroach. This also likely means no more Alberto Callaspo at first base, which is nice too. |

The A's are absolute beasts on the road. 15-6 so far. Not even an Ump Show in the second inning of last night's game could stop them.
