I happen to be more on the side of photorealism, too...damn 56k home connection and 12-25 inches of snow keeping me from my high-speed work line...
Who will be the first to do a black-and-white one?

Just convert to greyscale and you've got it. ErfanView and other programs will allow you to do a batch greyscale on a group of images. Here's a sample of a few of the ones I did earlier after using the greyscale function on them...

Did one for my team in the NML
I thought I would try one to see how it works, I'm using Paint Shop and Im setting up layers, so for example, for my team I have the jersay and cap with letter as seperate layers. I found I can capture the facegen image and resize it by about 25% to fit it as a new layer. Then just move things around so that they look ok. I wanted to show more of the team jersey so probably have somewhat smaller heads. I used the ficman faces that Dream Team developed and made similar layered pics. I then did pics for all of the major league players for a 16 team league. The problem with trying to have the team uniforms and caps is that it is alot of work, and each season each team could have a large number of new major league players. It would be nice if for OOTP5 that each team had a special ID for team pics, instead of all pics having a Pxxxx ID. Then you could do 30-40 faces for each team with the uniform and cap and those pics could be used for just that team. Havent seen OOTP5 but it would be nice if it was possible to customize things like that for each team.

And, we really would prefer no logos.

I'm not a big fan of the cartoon looking jerseys and hats with real faces. I know you guys are putting some fantastic effort into these but is it much harder to do it the way Treches did with the faces melded to actual uniforms and caps? My experience is limited in this area, that's why I am asking.
Or, since I am not a big fan of any logos on my fictional photo sets (I 'airbrushed' them all off for my photo pack), maybe just putting the face on a generic (real) cap and jersey would look better? Regardless, ANY effort in this manner is a good one so I applaud your work!

Livn, I am just using the template DreamTeams had.. I am not good with shading which is what it would take to require a realer looking hat.

had some time today
Decided to try some more. Below is a composite of the 9 I have done. I have a template set up with layers for the jersey and cap, just capture the facegen face, resize and then copy as a new layer to the template. This group is just a base group with no logos etc., the uniforms and caps probably look like cartoons, but I cant really do better, and real caps and uniforms will be harder to fit for mass producing.

Wow. I really can't tell you how awesome this development is - have I said that in this thread like 4 times? nmleague, the ones you just posted above are perfect for my purposes - a fictional historical league. i've used 5 of them already and they are great. i can't wait to see further work...and am waiting for the inevitable "get yourself in the game facegen thread."
