A sweep of the season series vs. the Giants sure would've been nice. But, can't really complain about 3 out of 4 from them, and 11 wins in the last 13 games.

QFT

Josh Reddick is scheduled to come back today. Hopefully he'll shave his beard and get hot.

Nice.

Has Bartolo eaten Greg Maddox or something? He can't throw a ball if his life depended on it. And he's pitching lights out. I didn't think we'd get much out of him this year (mostly because of how his last year ended). But I'm happily surprised so far.

And the go ahead RBI last night too. I guess the beard stays for awhile. At least it's not the first beard.

That's just awful.

I had the pleasure of watching the A's broadcast of that game. I wouldn't have watched it if I had to hear Hawk.

HWHMTC

(How would Hawk make the call)

2 calls this game must have been Hawk gold. First off the obvious Donaldson grand slam. The second one was the homer that Reddick stole in the bottom of the 9th to seal the victory.

I was watching the White Sox broadcast. It was the most subdued grand slam call I have ever heard.

Remember last year when the A's swept the Yankees at home in July? Well they were like, "That was fun, let's do it again."

I missed the end of the game. Well, to be honest, I *thought* I missed the end of the game, but it was probably still going on.

*Another* 18 inning game? Is this the second one this year? You gotta give it up to Chavez for pitching 5 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.

Yeah, I had no idea Jesse Chavez had that kind of performance in him. A well-deserved W for him. And he'll probably get rewarded with a trip back to Sacramento to get a fresh arm up for the weekend.

espn commenting fun....except.

I really dislike Jane Lee's writing style. "Mary Poppins-size bag of magic"? No. They're winning because they're good. Stick to the plays.

Me: 1 minute agoin reply to commenter

He wins, you lose. They're winning because they have heart. And a Mary Poppins size bag sums that up.

Well written. Very impressive. I found more gems of connecting facts in this than expected on this random article I decided to read about the A's. I'm a Mariners fan. But the A's are being magical, its true. And I appreciate this writer, as a baseball fan.

That was a really fun series. Hopefully the A's aren't too tired out and can still win the non-Felix Hernandez games this weekend, because you can never count on him having a bad day.

Proof that our stadium is crappy.

Anyway, after loosing 2 of 3 from the M's, we're sitting 3 games up on Texas. -And are tied for the best record in the A.L. Pretty gosh darn good to me.
