OOTP 13 Update, Version 13.4.17 released! (July 13th)

So looking at that list I would assume that both of the support tickets I opened and documented nearly 2-3 months ago are still in the game?

I've had two tickets open (one from April 28th WXG-405989: Secure FTP) and (one from May 5th JLY-387548: Issue Running Unpack for MySQL Server) and I haven't got a single response on them... These both affect online leagues.

The most important online league bug which has been fixed is "Include new and changed images" including ALL images. The league file will not contain the old images every time now.

Dan, I don't have access to support tickets. But I can tell you that Markus still has a couple hundred bug reports to look at. So he still has a lot of catching up to do. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I understand that, but my tickets specifically are Online League related, that's why I posed the question to Andreas. Thanks though.

Have storylines been tweaked? I know there were reports of some screwy effects caused by a few storylines. I turned the feature off upon hearing those reports. I'd like to use storylines but don't want a team's finances screwed up due to them.

Since installing the patch, foreign players in a historical league show up in all caps in all menus, even though when I go into the editor their names are not all-caps.

I'm also still getting crappy minor league players wanting major league contracts.

Do I need to start a new game to avoid these issues?

I agree...although you should just be able to watch the game just like any other...in other words jump in and jump out without having to make adjustment to the strategy controls.

Bah, I know, but there is a physical problem with my laptop, it was screwing with the hard drive before, I backed everything up and got a new one, and I can hear the damn thing buzzing and ticking when it tries to start up.

So it looks like the whole laptop will need to be replaced, I just hope I can get it to start up fully once (it has gotten close) and try to backup both my OOTP save, and my chrome user profile (passwords and history for college related stuff).

After installing the latest Linux update OOTP starts to run then disappears before the splash screen is shown. The previous version runs just find. I am running Sabayon 9 KDE, which is based on Gentoo.

Any support infor for this from the OOTP folks?

I worked around it by sorting by current level, and while this returned draft eligible candidates on my short list, it also returned many FA's.

My second issue - although it is more of a question - is whether the upcoming patch will affect the current dynasty I've undertaken. In other words, will I lose my progress and need to start over, or will it integrate with my current game? I'm guessing the latter but was unsure.

I was thinking along the lines that maybe you could colorize the players according to their current level of league play (AAA, AA, A, Rookie or Preferred Draft Choice, etc.) or perhaps put players you have shoretlisted from the draft pool in bold, italic upper case letters, thus making it more able for users - especially those new to this splendid game - to distinguish who is who. Just a thought.

Bowtie found the post you are referring to and came up with this. Not perfect but I think it will do the job. I responded in that post but thought I would share it here too.

Strike that, I have the game open and think I have a better way to sort. Add pro years to your view and also have levels in your view. Then sort by level. Those that aren't playing at any level will be at the top of the list with a dash (-) listed in the level column. Then look over at the "pro years" column and almost everyone with 0 pro years will be your draft candidates. It is possible that a FA that was never drafted previously could sneak into the picture but if he is that bad why is he on your short list?

It would be nice to have an "amateur" filter added to the filter button. IMHO a much better solution than trying to have to keep track of what colors or fonts indicate.

I'm nowhere near the draft so no amateurs are in this picture but here is a screen shot showing a view I use to evaluate minor league batters that has the columns you would need to do your sort. Also have a similar view to evaluate minor league pitchers. Both would be handy for your sort as they would also include current and potential ratings along with stats from the league they play in. Hope that helps.

Yep, I replaced my hard drive on my old laptop....purchased at a low price from Amazon!

Unfortunately I cannot find it anywhere either. Fortunately I have been having good luck with the previous version so I can wait a bit for this to be fixed.
