I'll be running an NHL franchise for sure. While running a WHL or BCHL team has its appeal, there's just too much turnover due to age restrictions and you can never really get attached to the players on your team.

I'm kind of a build from within kind of GM, so I seldom make trades or even sign free agents (unless it's to patch an obvious flaw in the lineup while existing players at that position develop to later fill that role).

Right now I'm running the Columbus Blue Jackets in BAGM in NHL 13 using custom rosters that I spent several weeks customizing (plus swapped over LAK's and NYR's 1sts which EA, as usual, left on the big market teams). I only use coach mode or the sim engine in BAGM.

I used to play EHM up until NHL 09 was released, but it was hard to relate to my friends who were all doing it in NHL, so I just stuck w/ NHL. Now that most of my friends have given up on EA, FHM's timing couldn't be more perfect.

Will most likely be running two games at once one NHL team and one CHL team.
Really can't wait for any further news to come out regarding the release date.

I'm so excited about this game. I have no doubt it will be great, but the fact we will have an editor is amazing!

My plan is to bring back the World Hockey Association, as a league just a tiny bit smaller then the NHL as far as pull, or however that will be rated.

Then I'll fill it with 12-teams to start, and hopefully there is a way to do expansion teams. I will then pick the best of the rest, of at least North American players, from outside the NHL to fill out teams, and even have a few NHL jumps (people like a Nathan Horton).

Then just go to down. The biggest question for me is what to name each team, so if anyone has ideas, I'm all for hearing some.

Team Locations:
Toronto
Hamilton
Quebec
Saskatoon
New York
Chicago
California
Michigan
Seattle
Houston
Kansas City
Las Vegas

That's my best effort some of those are "borrowed" from various places

Probably historical fiction, online league setup starting with the birth of the NHL (or maybe even the NHA....no Livingstone anyone?) and go from there. Sure hope there's on-line league capability.

I used to do that with some buddies online. All get to create the stats using a set of skill points and a -15 potential and sim through the careers to see what happens.

Always a blast.
