All of which brings Pineda back to mind. What a shame. On a lighter note, though, I just checked on Montero: .253, 8 HR's, 28 RBI's at mid-season. Makes me feel a bit better.

Never understood why everyone was so sold on Montero after only 1 month. Remember Kevin Maas? Shane Spencer? The list goes on and on.

Pineda is not done yet either...

You also underestimate Kuroda, Nova and Hughes. I'm really enjoying watching Hughes dominate. Hopefully, he's finally found his groove.

I'm just going to drop this off and skedaddle: I'm not going to miss A-Rod all that much.

Should we look for the Yankees to make another move before trading deadline? Anybody ready at AAA?

I just find something that will help a lot of potential investors and sports agents Yankees Magazine, a magazine where you can find a lot of updates regarding the team. Also the magazine is filled up with lots of interesting facts, action photos, stats about Pinstripers.

Joba was back today, looking healthy if a bit shaky in the box score.
Jeter got three hits, raising his batting average to .316!
New guy McGahee walked twice and scored twice. While clean-shaven. None of that fur-face stuff on the Yankees.
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor attended the game . . . and sat with the Bleacher Creatures! Which makes her OK in my book.
Oh, and the Yankees won, 12-3.
