I think it's very clear that the A's are not selling pants here.

Outman and Moscoso to the Rockies for Seth Smith.
Athletics Acquire Seth Smith: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com I was kind of expecting the A's to trade for Smith. |

I'm a little sad that Outman is leaving. I don't know why...... I just liked the fellow. Moscoso. Meh.
I hope Smith can show some pop in some other place other than Colorado.

Probably. He needs to also never bat against lefties or it could be worse than that.

What 'cha think? Personally, I think we'll let Carter start in AAA and have Barton be the starter if healthy. (Allen DH?) If Barton does well, he gets shipped off opening a spot for Carter. If Barton does poorly, he gets demoted (released?) opening a spot for Carter.

It's hard to get excited about the players they'll trot out this year. Since this offseason they have been making the hard play for a new stadium.

I was just coming here to post that.
My reaction: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111 He could be a good player or a big bust, but this is the kind of thing the A's need to do. By the time his contract is nearing and end, the A's will be hopefully moving into a new stadium and we'll know if Cespedes is worth keeping around beyond this contract. |

This can't be. He's not a 'has been'.

Supposedly all his background paperwork and stuff has already checked out so he's really 26.
