Coachman George Stevenson
Coachman George Stevenson "The Yorkshire Coachman" HW boxer 4 England
1735-1741 Fought Taylor and Broughton circa 1737 and 1739. I assume he would not have fought the two best in England without earlier proving himself so I gave him an earlier career start of 1735. Legend has him besting 3 highwaymen in the '30s. His death led to Broughton's Rules 1738-03-31 L Jack Broughton 100 pounds 1739-02-10 L 11 minutes George Taylor (Peachtree 2nd for Stevenson, Boswell 2nd for Taylor) bear

A Yorkshire Padder
A Yorkshire Padder Hw slugger 0 England
Coachman Stevenson, according to legend, overcame three armed Yorkshire highwaymen with his fists when they attempted to rob him. This character is a generic representation of them intended to function as a TC with arbitrary career beginning in 1735 bear

Many more, still to come. Would have likely been done had I not had that snafu Saturday with the file that got corrupted and kept freezing up my game. The mass group edit function saved me, though, since I was able to remove one of the groups from the files I needed to save and then delete the group left holding the corrupt file. Thought I had a recurrence of the old Felix Savon type of bug but was able to come up with a work around. Only lost a few hours. Otherwise I'd be rebuilding a major portion of my database.

One of the reasons why the Bear Garden uni has been moving along at a snail's pace was the need to create all of these guys.
